  1. I agree Crispy, IJ is located in the wrong place. Seems more suited for Action Zone, even though I'm not sure where it would go.
  2. Vortex, like Magnum XL200 at CP, is not sinking. Stupid rumors.
  3. "P.S. He isn't God either." Some people seem to think so.
  4. PCW=Paramount's Canada's Wonderland PC=Paramount's Carowinds Just so they don't get confused any more.
  5. As far as what's coming, those who know, don't tell. Those who tell, don't know. "Actually I've heard there is supposed to be the 3rd longest wooden roller coaster being built in 2007." The third longest wooden coaster is being built in 2006 at Holiday World. It's called the Voyage.
  6. PCW's inverted coaster is a Vekoma, not a B&M. B&M seats four accross while Vekoma seats two accross.
  7. Rumor has it that they are overhauling the cars and they will become the Nickelodeon Toonpike. I'm sure that they know exactly where they will be located.
  8. Wonder how many heat strokes ocurred at the park the 25th?
  9. Love the aerial photo of The Vortex where you see the majority of the circuit.
  10. That a little girl died on The Bat when she was flung out of the car. Not exactly sure how that would happen, though.
  11. Or, the Vekoma tilt coaster concept in one of the surveys was cool.
  12. I think the event is sponsored by the Coasterbuzz web site. There's some kind of fee you have to pay in order to go to the event. Obviously, if you belong to the coasterbuzz club, the fee to participate is less.
  13. If it would be in West Virginia, they could call it Paramount's Mullet Island.
  14. "I think IJ:ST is over rated, its good but didnt live up to what they made it out to be." And now that most all of the effects are working, it still is highly over-rated for what they made it out to be. I'm wondering, will we ever see the step effects or fish tailing? And, is the step effect supposed to take place in that tunnel that's not quite completely enclosed?
  15. "False, check out the gallery of SFFT at Lone Star Thrills. Boardwalk Canyon Blaster. Rides and roller coasters do sometimes get put in storage without being constructed." Even if what you are saying is true, it is far from the norm. So no, I don't believe that there is track at PCW that won't be used for a few years.
  16. ^I could see timeline as a good Action Theatre attraction.
  17. Good article, Chef. All parks are beginning to see the light when it comes to water parks. You can build an entire water park for the cost of one coaster.
  18. ^I agree Skippy. But, I think you'll see a reversal of that trend over the next five years.
  19. Geauga Lake has been under Cedar Fair for two seasons. The drop in attendance was still due to Six Flags' management. CF had control of GL for one month before opening. There's nothing they could have done to bring in more people the first year as advertising budgets had already been decided and not many people were aware that the park had changed hands. If there is a drop in attendance after this season, then you can say it's CF's fault. They are trying to reverse years of bad management and the public's negative opinion of that park.
  20. I agree SOB Tom, that thinking is a pretty big reach.
  21. Who's going to the announcement? You'll have to let us know if anything else is announced, which I agree Scooby, could come with the winterfest announcement.
  22. What proof are we looking at exactly? Well, eventually they'll have to dig up some other forgettable Paramount movie to theme a ride to. I guess Sky Captain is as good as any.
