I never said I don't like what they have, I just don't like their lastest choice. And, quit trying to tell me what to do, Dad, I'm grown and can make my own decisions. I love how everyone's answer is don't go any more and don't complain. It is my right to complain, just as it was other people's right to complain to the park when they removed the scooters. Get over yourself.
-
I appreciate your efforts, Ryan. Honestly, I can't read some people's thoughts because they all run together.

It's always been a FAMILY AMUSEMENT PARK. Wake up! Over the years, I have seen way more families than lone teenagers and coaster enthusiasts. So, now they say they want to cater to a demographic that they have been catering to for years. Duh! They've always done just that. Sorry, IJ:Stunt Crap doesn't cut it as a coaster, family or not. My point was, you don't have to build crappy family coasters like Italian Job because families were already riding the coasters that they already have. Case closed!
-
When it was yellow, it was the Scooby Doo. Rode it many times.

Since the 70's, my family and I have spent plenty of money there, so I can complain if I want. Funny, back in those days, we didn't need highly themed kids' coasters to have a good time as a family. There were lots of other rides for that like Bayern Curve, Tumble Bug, Der Spinnin' Keggers, Zodiac, Bumper Cars, WWC, KCKC, The Racers, The Beast, (my grandparents rode both Racers and Beast)I could go on. What they fail to realize is that they have had plenty of family rides over the years, they just chose to remove them and not replace them.

"It says it's the most exciting, thrilling mini cooper stunt ride and as far as I'm aware it is the most exciting mini cooper stunt ride, so it was and is very correct and honest about what it is." That's because, it's the ONLY mini cooper stunt ride, so it would have to be the most exciting one out there.

I never said my money was going to make or break PKI, so shove it. Ben is right. They don't spend all of their money on family attractions. Don't see grandpa riding Delirium. IJ:ST is a great kids coaster, but that's about it.
-
I have heard it will. It's rumored they want to hollywoodize everything. We'll have to wait and see.
-
Well, if IJ:ST is the best they can come up with, they can keep it. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
-
You can theme hyper coasters. You can theme any coaster. Look at Superman:Ride of Steel, the Batman B&M inverts, the Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Alpengeist, etc. A hyper would fit in at PKI. I have seen people of all different ages riding Magnum XL200, so you can't say it wouldn't fit in the family image. "I would like a big hyper at PKI (preferebly a B&M because CP already has an Intiman). But facing the facts, we probably won't see one for some time." Cedar Point's hyper is an Arrow, not Intamin. Their giga and strata coasters are Intamin. "Uhm, well If I recall correctly, there was no track beneath the airplanes in Top Gun" Well, if I remember correctly, I don't remember any giant top spins in Tomb Raider, so what is your point?

But, thrill seeking coaster enthusiasts are not the only ones that want these things built. Truthfully, many in the teens group are interested in that kind of thing. If I wanted theming, I'd go to a theme park, not PKI. BGW comes to mind or USF.
-
I wouldn't want another woodie. I think four is enough. I a hyper would be a nice addition. I think you'd be surprised how many people would come to ride it, as long as it's designed well.
-
Yeah, I know that not every attraction will please everyone. All I'm saying is, if this is all we are going to get are IJ-like attractions (all theming and zero thirlls), I have no reason to keep going back every year. I'm growing tired of the coasters that have been there forever and unless they do put in something thrilling, I'm going to spend my money elsewhere. It seems that CP is adding the attractions I like.
-
Well, I guess Cedar Point will be my new homepark then. I'm certainly not going to waste any more three hour trips to ride 40mph coasters. I'm not even saying I want a TTD like coaster here. I'm not insinuating that every coaster has to go 120mph to be thrilling either. Look at Magnum XL200, Superman:Ride of Steel, Nitro, and many more that go about 70mph and are highly thrilling not due to the speed, but the great designs with the bunny hops and airtime hills. Even Wildcat at CP is more thrilling than IJ. At least it has some nice dips and turns.
-
Well, whatever it is, I hope it's more exciting than IJ:ST.
-
Oh, trust me. It's not a coaster that I will ride every time I go there. I'm filing it under Adventure Express where I will ride it if there's nothing else to do. No one has forgotten it's a family coaster, so quit repeating yourself. Still no one has answered my question. If it's not supposed to be thrilling, then why was it advertised that way? Remember? Get ready for the most exciting, most thrilling....
-
You're right. They don't need to take out any rides. However, if you are going to do an expansion, it's going to have to be in a new area likely, and that will cost lots of money.
-
"This IJ "isn't very fun/thrilling" argument is one that really ****es me off. Folks, it ain't supposed to be thrilling!" Then, why did they advertise it that way if it's not supposed to be thrilling? The first ad with the animation said to get ready for the most thrilling....
-
But, Ryan, I could go now and point out several paragraphs that are run on sentences that are in current topics. I don't see where the problem is being addressed. It's so hard to read them when you can't separate one thought from another without re-reading it, which I don't like to do. I mean, really, how hard is it to use the punctuation keys to separate your sentences?
-
^I was going to say the same thing. I love the blue Icees.
-
^That's great for you, gburn, but what about the people who don't find it as thrilling as the major coasters there? Reptar is about as intense, outside of the launches. "I can't entirely confirm this, but from what I understand the 3rd LIM boost is for functionality only. Apparently if the train doesn't have a lot of weight in it, and the sensors don't think that it will make it past the magnetic brakes at the end, it will give it a boost." That makes the most sense to me. I never heard the LIM kick in while I was in line.

Magic 8 ball says.....

Must be a weak boost, I didn't notice it at all.

The theme tune sounds nothing like Indiana Jones. What are you getting at? Yeah, there is some wood coaster maintenance in there. It's just not as much as a woodie.
