  1. Thank you, Captain Picard. Couldn't have said it better.
  2. Green Ghost said, "BoddaH you rock! I rather have The Flyers over IJ:ST which isnt for families its for thrill seekers besides I rather have had the Addams Family Reunion coaster over IJ:ST!" Italian Job is not really for thrill seekers. Going 40 mph is hardly thrilling.
  3. The same amount as last year if not more. Italian Job will blow away the old flyers.
  4. Anyway, Green Ghost, I do feel for you. PKI over the years have taken out many of the flats that I loved as a kid. I said this in an earlier thread. But, never once did I think to try and protest the removal of a ride, even though they removed many of my favorites without replacing them with anything. But, like others have said, you guys need to move on. Enjoy them while they are still there. I guarantee once the Italian Job is operating, you will forget all about the Eagles. I'm sure somewhere down the road more of my favorite rides will be removed, much to my dismay. But, as long as they replace it with something better, I can't really complain.
  5. It will be thrilling...just not in a way that is the fastest or tallest or longest.
  6. Thank you, Boddah. I for one can not wait to get to ride Italian Job Stunt Track. It will be really cool. Who's going on opening day for IJ:ST? Don't get me wrong, I don't like seeing rides removed either. But, I don't protest every time they want to remove something. As you can see, your protest to not remove the King Kobra went nowhere. So, why even bother? I know that for some, it holds a lot of great memories. But, I also know that time moves on and the park is headed in a different direction. I feel for those people. But, at the same time, I know that there are many flat rides that I miss and wish were still there, but nothing can be done about it. I miss Der Spinnin' Keggers, the Zodiac, the Bayern Curve, the Tumblebug, The Bat (this being the exception of why it was removed), Enchanted Voyage, Rotor, etc.
  7. So you would all forget about the Eagles leaving and start a petition to save the planes. :jerry:
  8. Everyone complaining please take a valium. It's called progress and there's nothing you can do about it. If this ride was so popular, how come I never saw that many people in line for it. It's not like it had the longest or even close to the longest line in the park. Yeah, there is a select group of people who ride them, but, of all the years I have been there, it's never had an incredibly long line. I guarantee your petition will go nowhere. As someone else already said, it is already headed to another park, so get over it.
  9. I don't think it is a scare tactic. Not when word comes from Shaggy. The Eagles - I could take 'em or leave 'em.
  10. It isn't so. Refer to Boddah's post above.
  11. I know what you are saying, soviet traitor. I am holding some money for RCT3.
  12. You beat me to it PKI_rulz. Not sure what they mean by normal time.
  13. I like the idea of the catalogs too. Pretty cool stuff.
  14. I agree Ryan. This maybe something that is fixed in the offseason.
  15. You did.
  16. No, you may not...
  17. And, to add to that, sit in the middle seat of a car so you are not directly over any wheels.

    PKIC Meeting Day

Yeah, I can't be there either. Too busy around here this time of year. Maybe in the offseason I can attend that one.
  19. True Knoxville, I did wonder how that happened. Maybe he go squashed when everyone was either running for shelter or their cars?
  20. "Where would a new kiddie coaster go. " Well, if they got a Super Saturator, it would go above everyone's heads. Otherwise, I agree, that they would probably have to remove something else. I think they should get something like the Froghopper at Cedar Point. It's like the Power Tower for kids.
  21. I am expecting more kiddie stuff. Probably a new coaster or something like that.
  22. It had to be a correct step. From what I have read (and this is not necessarily true), Boomerang Bay was a hit and helped to increase attendance.
  23. The funniest thing I have seen was this year, although it did not happen in line. I was coming back from the hotel after a good downpour of rain. My sister, I, my niece and her friend were walking on International Street when I saw an employee sweeping up a squashed frog. Don't know if it was really funny, but it was something I had never seen.
  24. The fountains.
  25. It also said in the concepts not to take into account the artist renderings. They wanted you to imagine the ride without any preconceptions about what it would look like. So, instead of drawing a new queue and inside, they just used the one already available. I'm not saying that PKI wouldn't re-theme FOF, but you can't assume that it is just a re-theme and not a new installation at another park. Only time will tell.
