Bring on the Monster!
-
I'm still all for a Nick themed super saturator. Looks like fun.
-
Read again. I never said that it did not mean alot. I said that there have been just as many other meaningful rides out there that have been removed.
-
"If they do come back, I'll probably get so excited I'll probably smurf myself!!" lol
-
I like the default one as well. Thanks Klockster.
-
I don't really know. I chose PKICentral because I like the new look and I do kind of like PKIUnlimited because threads can sometimes go way off track, but sometimes it's funny too.
-
Yeah, but is it any more meaningful than King Kobra? Or Kenton Cove Keelboat Canal? Or, any other ride that has been removed? Of course not. There are several defunct rides that I feel should never have removed. But, I didn't start petitioning or whining about it. Move on. Life is too short to be that focused on something that insignificant.

I am predicting no coaster for 2006 unless it is a kiddie coaster.
-
I agree with all the helpful ways to ride SOB. My only problem with that is, shouldn't you be able to ride a coaster without having to ride it defensively? To me, that takes some of the fun out of it. Not to mention those awful trains that constantly shift back and forth. Also, it would be a good idea to get an MRI done afterwards.
-
How do you switch skins so I can see the others? Thanks, PKIBeast

Hong Kong Phooey! Reasons why: #1 Super Guy Quicker than the human eye I like Scooby Doo, but my only complaint about him is he is a combination of other Hanna Barberra cartoon characters before him and wasn't all that original.
-
And, just because they accept your opinions and ideas does not mean they will listen to you and bring something back. I can see it now...every time a ride is removed there will be a Save The ___________ campaign. (Fill in the blank)It's not like they will do what you say and rethink taking something out.

My first major coaster was The Racers and in fact it was the only major coaster at that time. My mother used to have to bribe me with a dollar to ride it because I was so scared. I can remember when The Beast opened, I would not even ride it. I think the name must have been what intimidated me because you can't really see it other than the first lift hill. Other good memories include lots of spinning on Der Spinnin' Keggers. I used to love the Bayern Curve. I always wanted to ride in the car with the American Flag on it. I remember getting one ride in on The Bat. What an awesome suspended coaster. Probably the best there ever was as far as experience goes. You couldn't beat the coolness of The Bat trains either. I also used to love the Rotor...my uncle used to position himself funny where his arms and legs were spread out. And, I loved the multiple helices of the Bavarian Beetle. Not to mention good memories of those classic walk around characters like Captain Caveman, Huckleberry Hound, and many more. I always looked forward to going to KI(before Paramount) because we would eat lunch first at LaRosa's before starting our day. I still think to this day that they make one of the best pizzas.

I agree. Great new look! Keep up the good work. It was a nice surprise when I went to this page this morning.
-
I will probably being playing lots of RCT3. Then, about mid-January, I will start looking at my on-ride photos and trying to remember what I was thinking at that exact moment. Sadly, I wish PKI had a video similar to Cedar Point's roller coaster video so I could fill the void. Guess I'll have to pop the CP vid instead.

Geauga Lake to Make announcement 10 Nov.
KIBeast replied to familyman's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
There is a separate admission for a reason. Boomerang Bay is not much larger in terms of attractions. CP is not just a day at the park, but a resort destination. -
Defunct rides I can think of: 1) Bavarian Beetle 2) Rotor 3) Bayern Curve 4) Zodiac 5) The Bat 6) The Screamin' Demon 7) Flight Commander 8) Der Spinnin' Keggers 9) Tumblebug 10) Winnie Witches Wheel 11) Phantom Theatre 12) King Kobra 13) Enchanted Voyage (Smurfs or Otherwise) 14) Kenton Cove Keelboat Canal 15) Flying Eagles I can't think of any more, so someone else take over. The one I would really like to see return is The Bat - with banked curves of course. Or, I wouldn't mind seeing The Bat trains on Top Gun even though it won't happen. Edit*** I forgot 16)Sklyline Ride

Klockster, I believe that is about the entire story for Vortex. Looks like they stole the idea for the logo from a band in the 1980's called Autograph. You can find their album cover that is similar in design here.
-
Actually Klockster, it will be called GyroSwing1. :jerry: I agree that if Kinzel was even there, it was to discuss Delirium and any issues that they have had with it if any. BTW, have there been any mechanical issues with Delirium? I don't even remember hearing of any during the opening year.
-
And the story behind Delirium is?...
-
Klockster, it's not really fair to judge Geauga Lake the way you did. First of all, they had about two months to get it ready. Two, they had to find a temporary fix for the season passes which by next season you will be able to get a pass that will allow you to use it at CP if not all CF parks. And, CP is run so horribly that they win the Golden Tickets award year after year for Best Amusement Park in the world, the Best Capacity Award and many of their coasters are listed as tops in the country. Not too shabby if you ask me. The only one PKI ever wins is best Kids' Area and of course The Beast always is listed as tops in the country. But, not other coasters are even in there.
-
And the theme of The Racers is well, ummm...racing. The story of The Beastie?...don't know if there is one. Story of Scooby"s Ghoster Coaster? I guess you are escaping a ghost.
-
Nice history pics. I've seen them before in their technicolor greatness. BTW, that is not a picture of the Bayern Curve at PKI. Looks to be a similar ride though. Bayern Curve had an international theme to it and all the cars had different flags of the world on them. The cars were a little more streamlined too. How do I know? I rode it several times.

PKI Central Purchases PKI Unlimited.com
KIBeast replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I like that Avatar as well. Anyway, so if they are integrated, will my posts be combined or will we start over again. -
Well, then it seems that everyone agrees that PKI will never be an IOA or USF. So, please stop comparing the two. Everyone always says, "PKI is making moves to become like IOA or USF". They will never become either or come close. IJ is about as close as it will get.
