  1. I really didn't care one way or the other. You can see any of my recent posts are the same as they always were.
  2. Parks may get deals on buying more than one of the same model, but they do not have multi-year/deal contracts with any company. Believe me, Cedar Point received no discount for having Intamin build their last three coasters.
  3. Wow! Great shots! I love the pics of The Bat, Bayern Curve, Zodiac, Skyline, Monorail, Tumble Bug, Der Spinnin' Keggers. I would like to see the Smurfs as well.
  4. Paramount has not signed any special contract with Huss. Nobody does this.
  5. Oh, I see. 80% of the time is good so long as it is a ride from PKI. But, when it is 80% for a ride at CP, TTD, then it is down most of the time. I can see where this logic is going. And yes, TTD was up as much as TR:TR or very close.
  6. Ummmm, I said giga or inverted, not giga inverted. But amyway, I would like to see a huge steel coaster installed.
  7. "Quit hatin peeps." Couldn't have said it better. I have a feeling that PKD's will be better because it actually will work.

    Dumb Question

I think Hablo was doing his impression of Dr. Evil.
  9. Then I plan on pre-registering ASAP. I wanted to go last year, but did not. I also would like to meet as many members from PKIC as I can. I like everyone here and would like to put a face to names.
  10. Just to add to that, PKI ripped off Geauga Lake by installing a water park. I'm not talking about GL's new water park either. It is my undersatnding that GL was one of the first parks to have a water park.
  11. I have to disagree about the flyers being a fad in the 90's. There is still so much more you could do with them, but none of the companies are pushing the envelope with these coasters. What I would really like to see at PKI is a hyper(steel) or giga or inverted (like Raptor at CP).
  12. PKI will never be a Disney or IOA no matter how much they try. Both of the aforementioned have much larger bugets and stay open year 'round. I think IJ:ST is a good addition to PKI.
  13. No Uncle Henry, there's only one Wicked Twister! It's the tallest, fastest, and only double twisting impulse coaster. But, without a doubt, Wicked Twister kicks the crap out of Boring Raider:The Ride. SOB is not anywhere near being the world class coaster that Millennium Force is. SOB has never ranked high and MF has been number one. Dragster also beats the pants off of SDATHC and Delirium combined. Even in TTD's troubled first year, it ranked pretty high in the polls. Top Thrill Dragster has not injured all kinds of people. It happened once. And, it was one train.
  14. Yes, someone died on King Kobra. They fell out during the Cobra Roll. I heard it from the Lemon Chill guy. He's an expert on nothing.
  15. Is there a cure for offseason blues? I guess there's not much else to talk about. I won't be going on opening day, but I want to get there the first day that IJ:ST is open to the public.
  16. You can't compare one waterpark to the other. CP's was built as a part of a hotel and only registered guests of the hotel can go there. PKI's is in the park. Two totally different things. And, no, I don't think that CP is copying PKI. Like I said, anyone park that has a carousel, ferris wheel, antique cars, mine train coasters are all copying eachother because another park had it first. It's not like they copied a coaster. Beleive me, they won't be buying anything like the IJ:ST. You people are being ridiculous. I'll bet you that CP will not install anything next year with theming. That is not their thing. The only coaster with a real theme is Dragster.
  17. I definitely want to go to Beastbuzz. I guess I'll have to get a paying membership to Coasterbuzz so I get the special rate or whatever.
  18. Personally, I like the Mantis at Cedar Point. Much better than King Kobra. I would like to see a B&M stand-up and all, but there's nothing new you can really do with them. And, from what I understand, you can't go any taller with them either. Not sure which is the tallest.
  19. I like the name Timber Tantrum!
  20. Actually, it was removed because of the high maintenance costs. So, yes, it could be re-installed, but no, it won't be for the obvious reason.
  21. Sorry, but FOF is nothing like Dragster. And don't say because they are launched, that makes them real similar. That's like saying Wicked Twister is like Dragster. Being launched at 60mph vs. 120 mph can't compare. Two totally different experiences. "So the only Intamin not like something we already have is the giga coaster." Don't leave out the possibility of a hyper coaster from Intamin or B&M.

    Dumb Question

I thought that maybe Roller Coaster Database might contain costs of building, but they do not. Still looking for a site that does.
  23. I still don't see an announcement coming. And, no, they are not really different when you look at it this way. You would think CP would want to announce a difference in the seats since so many were turned away last year, but it won't happen. Just like if there's a program change, you wouldn't announce that either. Both are improvements of the ride. All I am saying is don't expect an announcement. They may want their guests to be pleasantly surprised.
  24. I think it has been said that it will open in May and not April. Or, it could be speculation.
  25. Actually, I don't believe that they would make an announcement about a ride program change. Just like if Cedar Point decides to change the seats on Millennium Force, there will be no announcement. You'll just notice the change once you're there.
