  1. "With the purchase of that Six Flags park in ohio (used to be something lake and also contains the old Seaworld park) I could not see them even looking at more parks for a few years." It's Geauga Lake.
  2. I think the ghoster coaster should stay. It is a little milder than Rugrats and I've seen really small children riding that one whereas I didn't see as many of those small children riding Reptar. It has a place.
  3. I think it would ruin the tower too.
  4. ^Gotta go with Alien Seed on this one. You can't say that being frightened or frightening together as a family is not family oriented. My family used to put on a haunted house at Halloween in the neighborhood where I grew up. It brought us together as a family. We had a lot of fun!
  5. Wow, I can't believe I'm actually going to agree with Uncle Henry. The same people who are saying move on certainly did not want to do so when it came to the campgrounds or the Eagles.
  6. Can we say, obsessed with theming? Really, there's no need to theme the basketball games. Enough people bounce those annoying b-balls all day long anyway.
  7. " The line length is a reflection of the ride's popularity and quality." Most of the time, that's the case. Unless it just breaks down often...cough...TR:TR...or...TTD.
  8. "The only reason that Cedar Fair execs were at PKI was to observe and learn about Delirium, since their MaxAir is the same type of ride." Do you know this for a fact? I believe someone was there to look at Delirium, but are you sure that's all they were there to do? I don't think anyone on this board knows for sure. Cedar Fair would do the best job of managing King's Island. Seems to me every park CF buys out eventually becomes a better park. We can't really say anything about Geauga Lake yet since it has been only one season. I don't think Six Flags is in any position to buy any more parks. They've dumped a bunch already.
  9. That is a really horrible comparison. National Tire and Battery compared to PKI's campground? C'mon, that's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? It's not like the campgrounds was a huge division of PKI and is a really valuable asset on its' own. Maybe the Snapper was right after all. Maybe Cedar Fair is buying PKI or its' chain. Does anyone here really know if CF has that kind of capital? I think you guys are just guessing and saying no, even though you don't know. Personally, I hope PKI is sold to someone better at managing the chain. They have, for the most part, ruined King's Island and if Paramount sells out, I say good riddance.
  10. Looks like the same paint scheme as Delirium to me.
  11. I thought that the Maestro was the best part of the show. I loved watching all the little kids that were scared of him. But, what can I say, I'm warped!
  12. At least when you're waiting in line at CP, the lines constantly move. AT PKI you get stuck in one place for the longest time. That's why they get voted best capacity every year. All of their lines are almost always moving.
  13. I like TTD pretty well, but I consider it more of a thrill ride than a coaster due to the duration.
  14. I just read something very interesting. The top will have a brake that will slow down riders to about 15mph so they can get a view from the top. That was my main complaint about Dragster, other than ride duration. Once you get to the top, it's so fast going over, you don't really notice how high you are. Link to the Article on topping off. Kingda Ka
  15. So, is the Ryan in the pics you, boddah? Glad to see a good bit of this coaster has arrived. Can't wait to see more updates.
  16. Amen, I'd rather drive five hours to CP than three hours to PKI.
  17. I was reading over at coasterbuzz that Kingda Ka will be opening in March. Seems early to be able to get everything finished. I wonder if they mean that the whole area will be finished or just the coaster itself?
  18. Actually, I stayed at the Hotel Breakers at CP two years ago and it was not expensive. I always go for the package deal though. Since PKI is adding this lodge to their property, I may try to save enough money to stay there.
  19. Yeah, I just won the Rippin' Rocket off of Ebay. I'm going to set up mine like Dragster. I also like the coasterdynamix models, but I'll have to wait and see if they will ever be mass marketed. This would drive the priced down some.
  20. Are we talking about being the largest park in terms of number of rides or sheer acreage? I really don't know which park is the largest. "Urge... to... scream... and... taunt... rising..." LMFAO!
  21. Well, then someone else has used that picture and it wasn't funny the first time. Anyway, I was stating my opinion that WT is a better impulse than the others. Certainly better than sub-par raider, I don't care how original it is. It's plain boring.
  22. Maybe he didn't win any spelling bees, but spelling is a part of the TOS (terms of servie) agreement that you obviously didn't read. I sort of see his point, but being a 30yr. old park, there would already have to be several manufacturers already in place.
  23. And, Uncle Henry makes an @ss of himself, again. How may times can Uncle Henry repeat himself with the same stupid picture? It remains to be seen. Not one person in this thread has put down IJ:ST. I have been on two impulses and thought WT was the better. TTD is awesome with the 120mph launch and 420ft drop. My only complaint with TTD is the ride duration, but I can look over that. Have you even been on TTD or WT?
