  1. ^Yeah. The good shows seem to be a thing of the past.
  2. Yes, Mr. Six is really Miss Six. It is a younger woman in the outfit. Although I think it is funny, PKI doesn't really need anything like that. SF came up with Mr. Six to try and boost attendance because they are desparate, at least at some of their parks. Until they improve their overall experience, including better trained employess and a better atmosphere, they will always have these problems.
  3. Sorry, but PKI will never be the Disney of the midwest. PKI does not have that kind of capital spending and they are seasonal only. They could never take in the kind of money that Disney does.
  4. For sure, I will be visiting PKI, CP, and GL. I'm thinking about heading over to Pennsylvania for Dorney Park and Hydra: The Revenge.

"You dont need to be with a child on scooby doo (if your talking about the Ghoster Coaster), but you do for Scooby Zoom." You mean Top Cat's Taxi Jam. It hasn't been Scooby Zoom for a while.
  6. And, since Sheikra is 200 plus feet, doesn't that make it a hypercoaster? Many people also speculated that Gerstlauer would be the ones to do the Addams Family vertical coaster. You can find it here...Eurofighter Just click on the pics link below the text and you can see many more shots of what that coaster can do.
  7. Let's hope that PKI doesn't remove anything. I would rather see them open up a new area then remove any ride.
  8. PKI Food Guy, this little going back and forth between me and family man ended over a couple of weeks ago. Look at when you posted and then look at when we posted. Who made you moderator anyway?
  9. ^I agree. Scooby is about the only HB characer left that the younger generations even recognize. Go ahead and ask them who Hong Kong Phooey is. They wouldn't know.
  10. ^Seems to me Ben has been here considerably longer. He has several more posts. Anyway, the girl might have been frightened. Plausible reason. This will have no affect of whether or not PKI is family friendly. That completely makes no sense at all.
  11. Not sure if this is news or not, but PKI, PKD, and PC are raising the required height for their junior wooden coasters. You can read about it here...height requirement If this has already been discussed, you can feel free to close.
  12. ^Plus, the Addams Family is an enduring movie/tv show. Years from now, people will still know who the Addams Family is unlike the Italian Job. I'm not knocking the coaster or movie, but it is not one of the movies that people are going to watch over and over and still remember it years from now.
  13. I think what you are referring to, family man, is called a soft opening. I've heard this term used a lot around the coaster community.
  14. The reason that Soak City is a separate charge is because Cedar Point is a resort destination. They are moving the water park so that side of the park doesn't seem so empty seeing how they got rid of the Sea World Side. This will also make room for the rumored hypercoaster. This doesn't mean that the water park will become a separate price. Geauga Lake is not a resort destination. There are no on-premise hotels.
  15. The only actor I have heard that PKI is trying to get is Charlize Thereon (Sp?). I would travel three hours just for her alone. I believe you can say that it will not be open in April because it has never been slated to open in April, so that's a safe bet.
  16. ^Yeah, their food sucks, but I don't think that CF would change much other than re-naming coasters and removing the theming. If CF would acquire Paramount Parks, it would be a good thing. PKI and CP are not really in competition any more anyway. CP goes for thrills while PKI goes for heavily themed attractions.
  17. Star Wars or Star Trek. Definitely not bombs.
  18. A B&M wouldn't fit in with PKI? Yeah, I think a good one like the Raptor at CP would fit in nicely and I'm sure that they can come up with some Paramount movie to theme it to. Like Skycaptain or War of the Worlds.
  19. Obviously, some people have a hard time of letting things go. Wow, the scooters in action; I nearly crapped my pants.
  20. But, I don't think a war themed ride would go along with the whole family friendly atmosphere that PKI has.
  21. You forgot about Full Metal Jacket. Don't know if it was a correct portrayal of Vietnam, seeing how I was not there and neither were any of you (I seriously doubt), so how do you know how accurate that movie We Were Soldiers really is? I do know the boot camp part of FMJ was accurate. Anyway, I think this idea ranks right up there with the Titanic idea that was on a Paramount survey.
  22. It helped you lose weight, but at what cost? Sure, now you weigh less, but you'll pay for smoking down the road.
  23. I mean considerate as in not blowing smoke in my direction or the littering with the butts. What I was saying was that in my experience, more often than not, most smokers are inconsiderate. It is your God given right to smoke and it's my God given right to not have it right in my face. Yeah, yeah, I hear walk away all the time, except if I'm already there and you (the smoker) just got there, then it is you who should have to move, not me. I'm glad that they have these designated areas. Now, if only they would actually do something about the smokers in line.
  24. Problem is Boddah, nearly every smoker I meet is inconsiderate, outside of my friends. They don't care where they discard their butts, they don't care if you don't like smoking because it is their "GOD given right." I could probably count the number of considerate smokers on one hand.
