  1. And, Uncle Henry makes an @ss of himself, again. How may times can Uncle Henry repeat himself with the same stupid picture? It remains to be seen. Not one person in this thread has put down IJ:ST. I have been on two impulses and thought WT was the better. TTD is awesome with the 120mph launch and 420ft drop. My only complaint with TTD is the ride duration, but I can look over that. Have you even been on TTD or WT?
  2. Thanks for the update. I know that I won't be going that way to ride Ka, but I wouldn't mind. I think the bunny hill is what will make that ride. I've already experienced the rest. I also think the new area going with it looks pretty cool too.
  3. Yeah, except there are no random programs for TR:TR. It's the same thing over and over. And, it's not that exciting to begin with. Wicked Twister was definitely the better ride. At least it works consistently. It's said that CP is not kid friendly? Have you ever spent any time near any of the kids' areas? They are nearly always packed. I'm not saying that CP's is as good as PKI, but they are definitely kid friendly.

    Parks

I want to try out Geauga Lake. Maybe Dorney Park and Hersheypark. If I can manage it, a trip to Holiday World.
  5. Part of the reason they are charging so much to stay is you get unlimited access to their indoor water park. Personally, I never stayed at the campgrounds. Funny thing is, when I stayed overnight last summer at the King's Island Inn, we passed by the campground and I thought that the smell of the roaring fires and sounds of laughter from the guests seemed pretty inviting. I also think it would be a cool way to meet new people; errrr coaster geeks!
  6. "You completely missed what I was saying, congradulations. I said multiple not all" You need to learn how to spell, congratulations. I didn't say all either if you read my post, but obviously you didn't. This is what you said, "If every ride had a different manufacturer, their job would be much more difficult." I would say that there is a good chunk of rides that have different manufacturers already in the park. So, what was your point anyway?
  7. You should be used to it by now. Paramount sucks.
  8. Chef, I have heard that it is quite expensive to stay there.
  9. Well, here's the latest news on the campground and indoor waterpark. Indoor Waterpark
  10. ^Too late dude. There are already many different manufacturers of rides throughout the park. That wouldn't be a factor.
  11. I really didn't care one way or the other. You can see any of my recent posts are the same as they always were.
  12. Parks may get deals on buying more than one of the same model, but they do not have multi-year/deal contracts with any company. Believe me, Cedar Point received no discount for having Intamin build their last three coasters.
  13. Wow! Great shots! I love the pics of The Bat, Bayern Curve, Zodiac, Skyline, Monorail, Tumble Bug, Der Spinnin' Keggers. I would like to see the Smurfs as well.
  14. Paramount has not signed any special contract with Huss. Nobody does this.
  15. Oh, I see. 80% of the time is good so long as it is a ride from PKI. But, when it is 80% for a ride at CP, TTD, then it is down most of the time. I can see where this logic is going. And yes, TTD was up as much as TR:TR or very close.
  16. Ummmm, I said giga or inverted, not giga inverted. But amyway, I would like to see a huge steel coaster installed.
  17. "Quit hatin peeps." Couldn't have said it better. I have a feeling that PKD's will be better because it actually will work.

    Dumb Question

I think Hablo was doing his impression of Dr. Evil.
  19. Then I plan on pre-registering ASAP. I wanted to go last year, but did not. I also would like to meet as many members from PKIC as I can. I like everyone here and would like to put a face to names.
  20. Just to add to that, PKI ripped off Geauga Lake by installing a water park. I'm not talking about GL's new water park either. It is my undersatnding that GL was one of the first parks to have a water park.
  21. I have to disagree about the flyers being a fad in the 90's. There is still so much more you could do with them, but none of the companies are pushing the envelope with these coasters. What I would really like to see at PKI is a hyper(steel) or giga or inverted (like Raptor at CP).
  22. PKI will never be a Disney or IOA no matter how much they try. Both of the aforementioned have much larger bugets and stay open year 'round. I think IJ:ST is a good addition to PKI.
  23. No Uncle Henry, there's only one Wicked Twister! It's the tallest, fastest, and only double twisting impulse coaster. But, without a doubt, Wicked Twister kicks the crap out of Boring Raider:The Ride. SOB is not anywhere near being the world class coaster that Millennium Force is. SOB has never ranked high and MF has been number one. Dragster also beats the pants off of SDATHC and Delirium combined. Even in TTD's troubled first year, it ranked pretty high in the polls. Top Thrill Dragster has not injured all kinds of people. It happened once. And, it was one train.
  24. Yes, someone died on King Kobra. They fell out during the Cobra Roll. I heard it from the Lemon Chill guy. He's an expert on nothing.
  25. Is there a cure for offseason blues? I guess there's not much else to talk about. I won't be going on opening day, but I want to get there the first day that IJ:ST is open to the public.
