  1. Been a long time since I've been here, but this is awesome that KI is adding something to River Town. I really don't care what it is. I know that it will be a good addition as I am never disappointed in what they add. I am a coaster fanatic, but I love family rides too as it is something that my son loves other than coasters. I already have my room reserved for a trip in June with my boy and he has hit the 48" mark, so this will be extra special this year.
  2. I heard that they received private donations to deal with the OSHA issues and will be opening for 2016. I will go at least twice as my son loves it. I really need to get a Pronto Pup.
  3. That's really cool, seeing KIC'ers helping each other out. Why can't more people be like this in the world? Sorry, I just had to derail this thread for a moment.
  4. Where is the launch on Griffon? Looks like a lift hill to me. Just checked it out on RCDB. It has 2 inversions. I guess you gotta ride it to see, but I'm a little skeptical
  5. Just curious, but other than the brake and drop on dive machines, what is any good about that style of coaster? Looks highly unimpressive to me. The reason I bring it up is there are a lot of CP fanboys who seem to think that will be their next installment. To me, it looks like a one trick pony and CP already has one of those...TTD.
  6. It seems that Rougarou has had a pretty good reception.
  7. I like this new signage. This will be interesting to see it when it's complete
  8. I'm still sticking with a new ride going in to Boo Blasters. No new stand-up coasters. The next coaster I would like to see KI get is floorless
  9. Sorry, should have clarified, I meant standard sit-down coaster cars. Not floorless, inverted, or wing coasters
  10. I can't believe that people are that close to the front of the train. You look at Intamin and B&M, at least the sit down models, have something in the very front of the cars.
  11. Well homestar, if customer service sucks as bad as what I've heard in this thread, then I don't care what rides/attractions they have. I'll spend my money elsewhere
  12. The easier question, Interpreter, may be what's not wrong with KK. It would be a much shorter list
  13. My vote would be for Jaws...
  14. Exactly CandyManCan. There's really nothing to resurrect. Maybe those protesters need to look at this site and see the images you posted. Seems like they think there is actually something there worth saving. Often times, our memories tend to be better than the reality of the situation.
  15. I think that was the idea behind seeing only the claws to begin with GYK; to not see. You can't see very much of it to this day, which may be why we have only ever seen the claws as it's a representation of The Beast itself.
  16. Last time I was at Cedar Point and rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride, which has no leg room either, I was advised to cross my ankles and ride that way. It made for a much more comfortable ride. Not sure if that will work on Woodstock Express, but worth mentioning
  17. Wonder if CF has been looking for potential buyers of the water park? (considering it's the only one they operate)
  18. I love Delirium. I thought it was the same as maXair, except the aforementioned longer ride cycle on the one at Cedar Point. I am 5'11", 197 lbs and have no discomfort in riding Delirium. I've been on Delirium a few times and the ride experience was the same in different seats. The other plus for maXair is the line for it is far shorter than Delirium, or at least it was last time I went to Cedar Point.
  19. I'm going to try the bribery route. Maybe offer to go to buy a souvenir if he will ride a ride. No matter what he decides, I'm sure we'll have a great day, and that's what I want to share with him.
  20. Yes, Firehawk is the former X-Flight from GL. I rode it at Geauga Lake. I wanna say a black/bright green paint scheme
  21. I think it looks to be a really cool addition for them. I'm not a huge fan of any coaster manufacturer. If it's fun, I'm in.
  22. I don't do carnivals or any of those type places. I agree that taking apart and assembling these rides doesn't make me feel comfortable in the least, inspection or no.
  23. I agree with you on Drop Tower. Good advice, folks. That was pretty cool of that supervisor to do that for that girl dtk.
