  1. My guess is that this will have most inversions for an RMC'd coaster. Will be interesting to say the least. I am in the camp of 2018 based on the fact that you wouldn't spend that much on a project and not help to push season pass sales for the season it opens.
  2. Wow, I think that one takes the cake. I am sure that I rode The Bat (original) at least twice.
  3. calakapepe, I'm not sure how anyone classes Ohio as midwest either. It's way more east coast than anything. BGT would be the one I pick for CF to buy.
  4. Love the Facebook page and everything you have posted, Shaggy. TombraiderTY. nice posting of the concept art. I too, remember when Adventure Express opened. Twas a great ride with all of the theming, lights. fog, etc. Now, it's a great mid coaster with minimal theming.
  5. Completely agree with all of this right here. You should seek to be a designer or architect. Seriously
  6. Which is why I said it's my opinion. Pays to read
  7. By the picture they are using, I am guessing that Intamin will be building a new ride for CGA or one that is an Intamin is being relocated. I don't think it will be another manufacturer, but that's my opinion.
  8. The sign looks great! I love The Vortex and it was so awesome getting to ride it with my son for his first time last season.
  9. I would rather see something that pops than something that looks like traced letters
  10. Yes, that is what I was meaning. I do however, like the flying coasters as well, although I have never been on a B&M Flyer.
  11. I think a flyer is a good possibility, unless something new and unique comes along like the Wing Rider
  12. That is what I was getting at Shark. Yes, potential is there, but nothing is guaranteed to be around for decades. I look at some parks that have closed or been abandoned and I'm sure at one point, they thought the same thing.
  13. You can't really even say for decades to come. If interest is lost, they won't be around for decades to come even.
  14. In regards to shows like Cirque, they may be booked and making millions now, but you cannot predict when the interest will decrease enough for them to shut down. Ringling Bros. ran for 146 years and I'm sure they never imagined that they would be shutting down. You just plain never know. That really goes for any kind of entertainment.
  15. The COULD open Mean Streak in 2017, but I'm betting 2018 for the simple fact that it will be the MAJOR announcement and focus for marketing next year. Their big push for this season is water park/hotel improvements.
  16. When I receive my tax return, I am purchasing Platinum Passes. The plan is one trip to Cedar Point to introduce my son to that park. At least two trips to Kings Island...one trip will be for two days so he can experience the water park on the second day, more night rides on The Beast, and of course, Mystic Timbers.
  17. You all have given some great advice. Just another reason I am glad to be a part of this community. KDD, I have a couple of months before I will be purchasing, so I will do some research. Waiting for tax season to get here.
  18. Thank you for all your help. My price range is going to be more like $700. I will check out that site, KDD.
  19. The O.P said trim breaks, not brakes, LOL. I was just making light of the use of the word breaks :-)
  20. My 7 year old thinks Adventure Express is a good coaster. Some older kids, teenagers, and adults probably consider it a baby ride as they are now tall enough to ride the more intense coasters. Having said all this, now that my son is big enough to do the coasters with the 48" required height, these rides have become more fun for me to share with him. But not everyone has that. Welcome to KIC!
  21. 1) They are trim brakes, not breaks as the trims never go on break :-) 2) I believe the main reason it's not considered as intense as 30 years ago is look at technology and what can be done now. The Beast is still intense, but when you have the modern machines that we do now, it may not seem as intense. 3) A lot of the point of The Beast was to use the terrain, which is the reason you don't see so much airtime. 4) I do like your ideas though, so don't take this as me being totally critical of your ideas.
  22. I will look into the desktop computers then. And thank you! So, what it wrong with RCTWorld?
  23. Looks pretty good. A fair price as well. I'm really looking to get a laptop so that I can pickup Planet Coaster and Roller Coaster Tycoon World.
