Working Drop Tower, kid asks “Has someone died on this ride?” I reply, “No”. Another kid says “Yeah but someone has on is Son of Beast” and I promptly replied, “No, that’s also false”. They looked so confused. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking forward to going. Thanks again Don for coming here to post this! I know all of us will enjoy it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How are crowds generally on weekdays now? Thinking about going today or tomorrow but debating whether to wait until tomorrow in case the lines get longer later in the day.

If Carowinds sold two batches of season FL would it be possible that KI has finished the first batch and will start selling the second batch soon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well shoot. Just went to buy the season long FLP and they are sold out. Have no idea what to do now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome to KIC! Usually just wait a few days and it’ll pop up. If not, just call HR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thats why I love this forum haha. I worked in Ride Photo last year, and worked with a lot of complaints about the kiosks. They are very limited in terms of functionality and what you can do to fix them. Also depending on what ride, it can take 30-60 seconds more for the photos to arrive on the kiosks than they do on the ride. Aside from restarting the kiosk, there’s nothing you can do aside from just getting your photo from the associates themselves. (This is why I don’t work in Merchandise anymore) [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

People at the FunPix booth up front most likely won’t be educated on the kiosks. If you want help, go to Diamondback photo, as the ride photo office is in the room behind the booth. That’s where the supervisors hang out during the day if they aren’t walking through the park. Ride photo is separate from front gate photo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No law is “meant” to be bent. Same with park rules. They are in place for a reason not just because someone wanted to make them up. As for why Flying Ace is different, they are two drastically different rides, from two different manufacturers. They don’t share anything in common except for the fact that they are inverted. Plus it doesn’t have the capacity requirements that Banshee needs to meet every hour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh god whenever I hear GP talking about it I have a hard time not saying anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome to KIC! The only day I see listed now is Mother’s Day, May 13th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Never thought about that, but it does make sense. If you’re looking for quick, convenient, and good for displays, printing at the park is the best. Especially since we have the frames with ride facts you can put them in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it was me, the best thing to say would be, “can you double check this with your supervisor real quick or (if one wasn’t present) another associate?”, but every associate is different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Even once a week is good. It’s a great place to let off steam and end the week on a good note. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I totally get what you meant. If rides are what makes you feel happy, then you should be free to ride them. Our job as associates is to help you ride the ride, whether you may be coming through the normal queue or through the exit with a green sheet. With that being said, I really do hope that you have a pleasant experience with the park and it’s associates in general. Our goal is to help you enjoy your visit! So keep doing what you’re doing if it makes you happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It wouldn’t be a bad idea, at Mystic Timbers, for instance, at least 20% of the people entering the queue are unaware of the rule. If the greeter is unable to catch them, then they make it to the ride platform where they are forced to exit, which makes them very unhappy and slows operations down at the same time. Exactly. In my opinion it’s pretty useless to buy prints of ride photos at the park, because when you have them digitally you can save them wherever you want, post them where you want instantly and if you prefer, go to a store like Walgreens and print the photos out for a much better price than you’ll get at the park. My thoughts exactly. I do my best to try and guest relate as much as possible because it really does make a difference in the day people have and their attitudes towards others. Plus, you get to meet new people, which is always fun. By the way harmony29 , as long as you’re having fun, that’s what really matters. Enjoying yourself really makes the day that much better and doing something you love should never be a painful experience to you or anyone. When you’re at the park, enjoy yourself as much as possible, because it’s your day to have fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What rides at Cedar Point? None that I know of, when I last visited in Summer of 2017 none of the rides had video, but hopefully Steel Vengeance does! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

People suck sometimes. One small thing could change their mood just like that. The best thing to counteract that would be for the associate to talk to them and tell them why they have to wait another train, and explain to them that it won’t be much longer before they board the train, and when they do it’ll be worth the wait. This usually seems to turn their mood around, now that they know it won’t be much longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I get what you’re saying. It depends on the associate, but me, and most associates that work around me, care deeply about people smoking outside of the designated areas, as it affects us too. So please do report it to someone. As for electronic devices on rides, if we don’t see it, please do report it, and we will take the necessary steps to make sure the person doing it doesn’t do it again. Can’t speak for Mystic, but from my experience on Banshee, Drop Tower and Bat we can stop the ride and tell them to put it away, if they don’t comply, typically we won’t go as far as taking them off of the train when it’s already been dispatched from the station, but we can let them know that security will be waiting for them when they come back. That’s when they stop laughing really quick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
