KI was the first and only place I ever experienced an Xtreme Skyflyer type ride. It was well worth the extra money! SO much fun. I think that was about 10 years ago.
It was also the first place I ever saw a coney. I was very young and very confused as to why there were no cones involved.
I think it was a fantastic idea for Mantis/Rougarou. The ride can have a whole new life and become popular again now.
And then there's some things that would be better left as is. Beast & Racer being two of them.
Really depends on the ride.
I'm no expert obviously, but I'd say same track, same coaster. Different track, different coaster. It all depends on what you define as the main element of the coaster, I suppose. And a lot of people will answer that in different ways.

May 28th, they'll be announcing the new ride!
That boat ride sounds like a FANTASTIC idea. CP could definitely use something like it, since Paddlewheel Excursions has gone the way of the dinosaur. I miss that ride.
There's a place in Pigeon Forge that is an indoor dinosaur themed boat ride with lots of animatronics and special effects. I've been there a couple times and they do a very nice job of keeping it up, despite there never being a crowd. (Actually we had the place to ourselves both times we went.) It was REALLY cool. I'd love to see them do something like that only outdoors.

^ POV.
I am usually not a huge fan of screens, but I am SUPER impressed! Now I'm dying to ride this thing. SO COOL!
I tried researching this and I found nothing either. Except one article where the Six Flags spokesperson said it was a "substantial investment" but would not provide a dollar value.
Time will tell, I suppose!
Quote from article: "He touched on numerous on topics and called out those who accuse the park of wrongdoing only to gain publicity or a quick payday."
Yeah, okay! Payday from whom, exactly?
So do you think they'll use the 150 to pay for the rides they owe money on? Or use it for general operations and leave those rides SBNO? (Dying to get one last ride on Witch's Stew!)
^ Do they have times after the park closes where they retrieve lost items? If so, they should advertise the heck out of it. Put signs up everywhere. Seems like a lot of amusement park fatalities occur from people sneaking into unsafe areas to retrieve hats.
Also I wonder if hats will ever be considered a "loose item"?
^ Putting new residences close to parks is a recipe for disaster. Because eventually someone WILL find a reason to be bothered just to sue (despite the fact that the park was obviously there first and they choose where to live). More restrictions will be put on the park. Etc. etc. So fingers crossed that won't happen or the waterpark will be gone too.
Since Geauga Lake can never be an amusement park again, I'd like to see it turned into a picnic park like it was a long time ago, MAYBE with the Dipper SBNO but nicely maintained as a historical artifact. I understand why these people are protesting. The closing of Geauga Lake had horrible effects on that town and driving by it is really depressing for those of us that lived there/visited there during its heyday. A lot of people would be happy to see SOMETHING decent done with it and not just left to rot for another 8 years.
But then again, how does Cedar Fair or the next buyer make MONEY if they turn that land into a picnic park? And where do they get the money to maintain the Dipper? Wishful thinking on my part. But it would be nice.
Edit: Capitalization errors.
I don't understand why unpaid taxes is so common among politicians. You would think they'd get that stuff paid before running for office to protect their reputation.
