Just the other day I was working on August KY/OH trip plans, debating whether or not to go to KK. I don't think we will at this point. I'm sure we'd have a perfectly fine trip but I dunno if I want to give the out of state attendance to a company with such shady practices. Also, I'm not sure we'd be missing that much. CP, KI, and Waldameer ought to be enough. Such a shame this is how Kentucky Kingdom turned out.

That video! Holy wow!!!! I've never seen our set at Western Playland do that (I bet it's capable, these things are OLD, but I doubt anybody here knows how). So cool!

Flats and family rides will definitely drive attendance with locals who just want something fun to do on a weekend. But out of state visitors are more drawn to big new coasters or unique rides they can't ride at just about any closer park. Seems like they'd have to build new coasters often to keep up with out of state attendance goals. But how much more can they really build on that small amount of land? http://www.kentuckykingdom.com/experience/park-map/ This is the current park map. Assuming they survive this year, it looks like they're adding a new coaster for 2016. But what about after that?

Considering Kings Island already has three wonderful wood coasters, I'm gonna go with a giga. But my favorite would be a Wild Mouse in the Crypt's box!

Public relations is a much-needed career field. Unfortunately a lot of companies don't want to invest in them. Just having someone to accurately update the content of the website, make policies known, and handle incidents with grace and integrity would be very helpful to them. Someone who does JUST THAT, and doesn't have to worry about a hundred other things.

I'd like to see one of those double skywheels. It's like a ferris wheel only more thrilling. I've only ever seen one at the Bluegrass Fair. It was a blast. Also I second the votes for a paratrooper. Would be great somewhere in Coney Mall. Also, a flying carpet ride. Those are SOOOO much fun.

So.... The state loses that land if it goes under???

If Kentucky Kingdom's last season was 2015 and the state sold off the rides, I wonder if Cedar Fair would purchase any of their rides? Perhaps for Kings Island?

Hmm... Interesting. I doubt I'll try it here just because they're not good about making park policies known on that sort of thing here and I don't want to freak out the ride op.

Can someone explain what "stacking" is on Diamondback? And why they'd make a whole train of riders get off? I've never heard of this term til I got on KIC.
