Very good points.

I do it because I'll take an hour wait over a 3 hour wait anytime. But I agree they do need to up the price. If I'm going to a park that I don't live near and get to experience all the time, I would gladly pay up to 200 bucks a person for Fast Lane Plus passes if it meant shorter lines. It's just worth it to me, because a park visit or two is typically the only vacation I get, and I want to enjoy every minute possible. So we save up and that's our big gift to ourselves for the year. A higher price point would really filter it down to the people who want it the most. I remember getting Quick Queue at Busch Gardens in Tampa back during spring break 2011. WOW. It was a very different experience, there was no waiting at all except on the rides that weren't eligible for Quick Queue. You just went in a different line and got on the ride. I also don't remember it being incredibly expensive. I just looked up the price and it's 20.99 throughout most of Feb/March per Quick Queue pass. How are they doing this so much better than Cedar Fair at SUCH a low price point? (Note: I haven't been to BGT since 2011 so this system could have turned into a complete disaster these days and I wouldn't know.)

Gotta agree on variety. I'd like to see them add something they don't have first, not necessarily a giga, but SOMETHING different.

I'd be extremely upset too. Living so far away, we only get to visit one or two parks like every other year. We've tried it without Fast Lane Plus before and we didn't get to do hardly anything. Fast Lane Plus lines still take 30-60 minutes (at least at CP they did, nearly 2 hours for Maverick!) but that's better than standing in line all day and riding two rides then having to go home.

Diamondback and Racer.

After riding Gatekeeper and seeing how amazing it is, I would love to see KI get a wing coaster. No matter what though, I hope whatever they build, they don't take out too many trees.
-
That's sad. I always loved the walk to White Water Canyon.

^ Agreed. Also if they decided to do Cedar Creek Mine Ride- that just SO doesn't fit with the theme of the area. :/
-
Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Iron Dragon... What an odd choice. They have some of the best scenery in the park. And some of the shortest lines. No doubt that'll change once we have to deal with people taking forever to put on headsets.

No more Chick-Fil-A at Cedar Point!

^ MSG??? No more Chik Fil A for me. Even many Chinese food restaurants don't use MSG anymore. -
^ With a dinosaur name/theme. Pteradactyl maybe? Assuming the Dinos stick around.

The only time our Chik Fil A here doesn't have lines out the parking lot is on Sundays, or 7:15 am on weekdays. (Which is when we typically visit. Chikn Minis are the best.) It's gotten to the point where they have workers standing beside cars taking orders on tablet computers to speed things along. They are remarkably quick considering the insane crowds. -
^^ Agreed, I kinda like how The Beast is isolated and surrounded by trees and you can't see what's coming. ^^^ Trains that accommodate larger riders would be cool though. I remember the legroom being a bit tight a few years back, and I'm kinda short. (Though I could be remembering that wrong!) Plus it's nice when more people can experience the ride comfortably.

Why would anyone want a shack in their sandwich?

I can imagine the ride will have REALLY long wait times at first, but then they'll have to hit certain numbers and skimp on the cleaning. One thing I thought of is, what if they have two sets of VR headsets for each train, then when the riders pull back into the station, they put the headsets in like a UV cleaning box (I've heard those kill bacteria but not sure on viruses) and the next riders grab a clean pair. I wonder what their actual plan is?
-
Well, The Racer and The Beast have inherently cool scenery and a neat ride experience. For a VR ride, you could essentially put it in a big metal box with no scenery or theming and it can still be a cool ride experience, plus be operational even in rainy or windy weather. Don't know if this will become a HUGE trend in roller coasters but I think it's a neat gimmick that will draw crowds. My main worry is catching something like MRSA using the headset. :/

Haunted Beast sounds awesome! Do they still do the fog machines and werewolf?

^ I'm confused. I didn't write all the spoilery stuff. :/ Just the part at the very bottom.

Walt Disney World's Middle Class Problem

Do they charge per person? For a campground? That's odd. I figured it would be per campsite. Edit: Pricing unavailable for campground at this time on the website, but it just occurred to me you may be talking about park admission tickets. -
When did you join KICentral?
Steph88 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
2015 for me. Though I've been reading since 2012, I just didn't have much to say other than "OMG NOOO they can't get rid of The Crypt!" -
Haha, yeah I spent much of the drive from Kentucky to Texas with the window down, so I know I'm not the norm.
