  2. There certainly is a way; the problem is that I don’t know where the lion enclosure was located in present-day Kings Island.
  3. Thanks for reading the post. I mention the Kings Dominion Safari at the beginning of the post.
  4. What has the ODA learned from Fireball accident? http://nbc4i.com/2018/01/04/what-has-the-department-of-agriculture-learned-from-the-ohio-state-fair-ride-accident/
  5. Hello everyone. Here is my latest writing, this one about an often-forgotten tragedy on Lion Country Safari. Has a complete account of the incident and investigation with exclusive information with several rare photos. Hope you all find this interesting. https://kingsislandghost.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-untold-story-of-kings-islands-fatal.html
  6. There is a William E. Galeener buried with Nancy and Stephen. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/17484340/william-e-galeener
  7. Fascinating, @chuck norris. Missouri Jane was born in 1840, 20 years before Stephen was born. From what I could make out, her headstone reads: "IN Memory of MISSOURI JANE daughter of Stephen B. a. Nancy Galeener who departed this life March 10 1846 Aged 5 years 8 months a. 11 days."
  8. Thanks, but almost all of the info in the original post is wrong.
  9. I don’t think it would be a Tom+Chee or a similar kind of place since the Warren County Property listings are now showing “Coney Island BBQ” at Kings Island. http://www.co.warren.oh.us/property_search/summary.aspx?account_nbr=1202233
  10. Nice catch! Yes, that is definitely the cemetery! I’m glad you found the blog post to be interesting.
  11. Hello folks, I thought you all would enjoy reading this blog post I wrote. A comprehensive history of Kings Island's cemetery and filled with never-before-heard ghost stories and eyewitness accounts of Missouri Jane Galeener. Enjoy! https://kingsislandghost.blogspot.com/2022/01/kings-islands-ghastly-girl-in-blue.html
  12. Did some research at the Delaware, Ohio Public Library a few days ago. Only two articles ran in the Delaware Gazette about the incident. Thought you folks might find them interesting. They ran in the May 16, 1983 and May 19, 1983 editions, respectively.
  13. You are probably thinking of the original Enchanted Voyage (1972-1983). It had all of the Hanna Barbera characters in it, including the Flintstones.
  14. The video is plagiarized. Here is the (wildly inaccurate) website he is reading: http://weeklyview.net/2013/05/16/the-ghosts-of-kings-island-part-1/
  15. No fines or charges against ride operator and inspectors that cleared the ride. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2017/12/operator_cleared_by_state_in_f.html
  16. Yes. It is very sad how preventable these accidents were, in particular the pond one. $8-$10 would have saved two people’s lives.
  17. I thought I would cover a unique aspect that I have yet to see written about before. I know many other people, myself included, find it interesting.
  18. It's also worth noting that a fifth Flight Trainer was operating in the US at the time of the accident. It was called "Flight Trainer" and opened in 1991 at Rye Playland in New York. I've yet to see any photos of it yet, though.
  19. Much thanks for the info, I’ll add that to the blog post.
  20. That is very interesting. Except for opening the same year that Flight Commander was removed, there isn't really anything conclusive to say they are one and the same.
  21. Hello everybody. There is a LOT of misinformation going around about the tragic "Black Sunday" accidents at the park. I decided to write a blog post about it, clearing up all misinformation and giving the most accurate narratives of each event based on my 200+ pages of newspaper articles I have collected regarding the events. I also wrote about some ghost stories regarding both accidents. I do not make any money from this blog. https://kingsislandghost.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-paranormal-echoes-of-kings-islands.html
  22. Speaking of which, was anyone able to see if there was any work being done at the DA! entrance over the weekend?
  23. Could you be any more specific? Per the terms of service, you also need to identify your sources.
  24. Here are my thoughts: http://kingsislandghosts.blogspot.com/2017/11/kings-island-winterfest-30-thoughts.html Hopefully this doesn't count as self-advertising. (I am not getting any money from this blog.)
  25. The dinosaur at the entrance has already been removed.
