Browntggrr Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I heard someone make a claim the president of a local company gave them inside/ sensitive information minutes after their first ever meeting. This information came just days after a local media source had an actual quote from a high ranking park official that: "no decision has been made." EDIT: This has made Screamscape, only reinforcing that the claim is crap. 1
westcoaster Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Racers never!!! I would hope not, the rebirth of the wooden coaster started with these twin racers!
kaitlinfree Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 i heard about The Vortex sinking rumor. someone also said that WindSeeker was stuck at about 200 feet up for two hours. also heard people died on Son of Beast when the loop was still there. OH the other day someone at the park told me that they were putting a coaster bigger than Kingda Ka in place of SOB. that will seriously never happen. it would be hella' expensive.
TTD-120-420 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 WindSeeker was stuck at the top earlier this week...
Ogrmac Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 WindSeeker was stuck at the top earlier this week... It was. Monday afternoon, shortly before 3pm. I was standing by Vortex's exit waiting on my husband and kids. They loaded WindSeeker, it went up, the music stopped and a ride op got on the loudspeaker and said "We are experiencing technical difficulties." etc. I looked up, and it was stopped at the top. It was about 30 minutes before they slowly descended to the ground.
KI FANATIC 37 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 That happened at CP too, "(6/4/12) On Saturday morning the riders on WindSeeker at The Point got a little more of a ride than they were expecting shortly after 9am when the ride came to a stop while only about half-way down the tower. The riders were then stuck on the ride for about 2 hours until they could lower it back to the ground. " I know, I know Screamscape.... But this is true.....
A.S.Coasters Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 ^There's actually a thread or some sort of discussion about that here so I'm sure we all know about it.
TTD-120-420 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Yes, Cedar Point's was stuck for about an hour and a half last week. A few days later, KI's did the same thing. Cedar Point's incident, however, was more serious.
homestar92 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 And this, like the recent incident on Stinger, will most likely be seen by the GP as "This ride is unsafe!" when in reality, it's an instance of, "The ride computer detected a malfunction, and activated the proper safety features until a repair could be made to ensure that no guest would be harmed."
CedarPointer Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 "You know why Son of Beast is so rough? It was sinking! All the major coasters in the park are sinking."
SonofBaconator Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Vortex is sinking. Racer is going to get demolished. King Cobra still lies in Flight of Fear. Kings Island is Cedar Fair's "Guinea Pig Park". There is a Red steam train. Someone died on The Bat.
homestar92 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I can see why people may think that King Cobra is still in Flight of Fear. I mean, at one time it was, and the only reason we really know it isn't anymore is because the trains were spotted at Kings Dominion.
LongliveKingsCobra Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Well little white box to your comment too! 3
fanofFirehawk Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I heard in front of Whit's that they are going to move plantet snoopy where the old beach water park was. 1
SonofBaconator Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Flight of Fear is a good place to meet single girls. Not true
TheBEASTunchained Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Yesterday I heard these people saying that the Eiffel Tower was leaning to the side and could fall over anyday.
The Interpreter Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Must have had it confused with The Leaning Tower of Pizza. 5
MidnightBeast Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 The Bat was torn down because a train derailed and everyone died. King Cobra was torn down because a train derailed and everyone died. Son of Beast was torn down because a train derailed and everyone died. 5
HarvestmanMan Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 The Bat was taken down because someone died after they fell out of their seat and landed on top of the track. Yes. That's on top of the track. 1
thedevariouseffect Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 The Flight Deck removal rumor circa 2006--Current..thing still is going on 2

fanofFirehawk Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 A b&m hyper without a trim. I have no idea what this means. It doesn't mean anything... He is just hating on B&M...
BeastForever Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 "A Hypercoaster1 designed and sold by Bolliger & Mabillard that does not feature a trim brake2". --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1Hypercoaster: Complete-circuit roller coaster at least 200 feet tall and less than 300 feet tall that lacks inverting elements. 2Trim brake: a brake usually found in the middle of a ride designed to "trim" speed in order to save money on maintenance. (I had a little fun with it, )
