Dane Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) What you see is correct! PKI Central has purchased and now runs PKI Unlimited.com. PKIC has saved PKIU from shutting down forever. Although it is undetermined what the future will hold, this site will stay open for your enjoyment and will work in conjunction with PKIU. While Aaron, the creator of PKIU, will no longer call the shots, he will remain putting his heart into the site becoming Head of Design. The PKIC team will now run PKI Unlimited with Dan being at the head. This is a great opportunity for YOU, the PKI community, because this will not only bring the community closer, but will provide a better site to bring you the latest information on Paramount’s Kings Island. Keep in mind that whatever we do, we will make sure that we create a better PKI community and bring you more information. We hope you will enjoy all the changes! Image removed for design issues. Vortexlover2 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 omg! you have the EXACT same thing PKIU has! What now are the wevsites going to blend together and make "www.centralpkiunlimmited .com"? That would be kinda well uh FREAKY! Quote
RollerNut Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I image that PKIU and PKIC will be intergraded into one website over time, as Dane can't possibly afford two .coms unless he is rich. Quote
Dane Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 That would be Dan that pays for them, but with the power of NEXIGEN we can do anything we want. :cowboy: Quote
Dan Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Oh yeah, not only am I the one that pays the bills, I'm the one that calls the shots even though I haven't been involved in the community in a while. But I'm back for good and you can only expect the best from PKI Central now! Quote
RollerCoasterUSA Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 /\ for dude above..um domains aren't that much. you can get one for like $6 a year! Quote
PKI Punk Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Dan I love that avitar, "I need more cow-bell." Quote
KIBeast Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I like that Avatar as well. Anyway, so if they are integrated, will my posts be combined or will we start over again. Quote
King Bowser Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 YEAH!!! This makes me sooo happy now PKIU wont be lame-tasic anymore now we will have the best of both worlds. Quote
Vortex Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 So what site is going to get the news first or where do we post from now on? Well I am glad you got more power for a PKI sites. Quote
TheKlockster Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I think the sites will merge eventually. I am sure Dan and Dane are very competent web programers, but I know, doing one site, without dynamic content is a bi***. I coudln't imagine doing a site like PKIC or PKIU. And I am sure that for simplicity's sake they will merge them. I just hope we get to keep our status. I am a newbie here, but on PKIU I am a bronze member. And there are lots of people that have a lot of posts. Will IBP let you merge forums and keep posts? Also, I am happy for it, because I think the administration of PKIC is much better than PKIU. I am sure they will clean up the boards! I just about crapped my pants when I was that all the old moderators were now just plain old members like the rest of us! Well best of luck to you The New Administration! TheKlockster / thecopyczar Quote
AZ Kinda Guy Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I have to ask Dan.....Why pay a large sum of money for something that brings you in little to no profit? Quote
Dane Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 We are currently exploring all the variables and options. As for the news sake, I will post them on both just to be convenient. Quote
Dan Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I have to ask Dan.....Why pay a large sum of money for something that brings you in little to no profit? Well, unlike most people, I don't always think with money in mind. Quote
Mr. Christopher Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 You don't "think" most of the time. Don't get me started with you and that Allie girl... Anyways, it's pretty suprising news, but I knew it was bound to happen. Um...go PKIC/U? Quote
Dan Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Yeah...about that, what ever happened? I'm confused and I'm starting to worry. But back on topic, what does everyone think about this exciting news? Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Are you going to restaff the site? Quote
PKIDelirium Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 So, is PKIU keeping it's photographers/mod staff, or not? I'm all confused... Quote
italianchef Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 PKIC bought PKIU! WOW! That's like Coke buying Pepsi or McDonald's buying Burger King. I do wonder what exciting changes will be made. I wish you PKIC folks the best of luck with your additional responsibilities. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef: Quote
Dan Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 So, is PKIU keeping it's photographers/mod staff, or not? I'm all confused... If you would've read the first post you would know... The PKIC team will now run PKI Unlimited with myself being at the head. Quote
Aaron Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 As everyone knows I will still continue to be a part of the future site and head up the next design. Between school and having my band's debut album being released nationwide within a few weeks, I simply no longer have the time to keep up with PKI Unlimited.com. I believe that with my design talent, and Dan's ideas and passion for PKI, the new site is going to be outstanding. Also, from what I understand, Tanner and Tyson may be staying on board as photographers. Stay safe everyone. -Aaron Quote
RollerNut Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 What a bad word,"may". That is kind of like the word "maybe", very rarly does it mean something good. Quote
