The NEW Crypt 5/15

Featured Replies

If they are using the Tomb Raider building next year I'm sure Madame Fatale has been evicted. If a dark ride is added there hope it utilized the height of the space and isn't the typical dark ride but with 70 foot high ceilings.

Hmm? Wet. Fish. Coming up. Hmmm. Cthulu?!? I mean, that'd be kinda "cool..."

Terp. Don't do this to me. Don't do it. I haven't gotten over the loss of this ride. I don't know if I ever will. Don't go dropping random hints to make me pointlessly optimistic all over again. Just

Some things happen behind closed doors, without anyone knowing. Not even a mouse. ;)

I have a really detailed idea for an epic themed wild mouse coaster in that building. However I HIGHLY doubt Kings Island is going to come to some random person with no experience for ride ideas. :D I'd love to see a wild mouse in that building though, with a few good drops, a helix, and a more in-depth version of the crypt theming.

I'd rather have a mine theme to fit in with the area of Rivertown. Always liked TR:TR and Crypt was ok but never felt like it belonged there.

Think something like Mystery Mine at Dollywood would be perfect. Highly themed interior portions but also go out if the building for some fun outdoor parts. Give them more room to work with too

Sounds like some think the title is now cheesy :)

Why does it not surprise me that Terp bumped this thread as only Terp could do.

Is there really a plan for this building within the next few years, or am I getting my hopes up for nothing? :P

Knowing Terpy, the date in the thread title probably has something to do with why it was bumped. :P

It is Lent...

Fish coming up....or is it fishies?

So that means they are turning the big brown box into an aquarium right? ;)

But really, it will be. Probably.

They got fish farms out west don't they? I heard one was being built in Buena Park, but I'm knott 100% certain.

I'm planning a KI/CP/Waldameer trip in August hopefully, and if all works out I MAY even stop by Carowinds and KD before heading back. I really want to ride KD's version of The Crypt. It's not quite the same, but it has some of the cool theming elements I miss. (Plus I just really like top spins.)

Could be a long, exhausting trip but we don't get out East much these days and we need to make it count!

I mean I'd ride it lol

^ That looks cool, but I'd much rather have it outdoors where you can get a good view from the top. :)

A Houdini ride would be a nice fit I think. The building is probably big enough to house two show rooms and increase capacity.

The Vekoma madhouse looks pretty cool, but I kind of want a combination of thrills and theming. Something that has SOME negative G's. (I've never been on this, just researched, so correct me if I'm wrong on that.)

I do think it could fit really nicely there though!
