I always make sure to sit in 5-1 no matter what the wait is for that particular seat. That is the very seat in which Ron Toomer designed the ride around.

I mean i'm torn between 1-1 and 7-1 but went with 7-1 cuz its amazing airtime that you wouldn't even believe! lol

but honestly i rode 5-1... i dont get whats to great about it? if anything i feel like it throws me around more than any other seat...

I don't pay attention to rows. I don't even understand what 1-1 and 1-2 and all that crap means. But, whatever. I usually just sit right, exactly in the middle which I'm guessing is 5-2?

The first number is the car number. There are seven cars. The second number is the row number of that car. There are two rows in each Vortex car. If you sit in the exact middle, you must be sitting in either row 7 or or row 8 of the entire train, which would be either 4-1 or 4-2. If you were in the EXACT middle of the train, you'd have to sit between row 4-1 and 4-2! :)

The pnly seat I will ride on Vortex is 5-1. The reason it is so great is the fact that there is no headbanging. If you look at the people sitting in 4-2 while riding 5-1 there heads are banging like... well... they were riding an Arrow looper. Not in 5-1!

I've had problems with headbanging on 5-1,which is why I like7-1.

For me, no matter what coaster it is, it's either front seat or backseat.

Front seat I love, because as Thrill Biscuit said it's cool do 'drive' the coaster. You can see everything and it's like the ride is all yours.

Back Seat is fantastic because of the amazing forces they usually provide. Positive, Negative, Lateral, you're being dragged through the ride so your at the mercy of the coaster.

On Vortex, 7-1 wins. The airtime on the first drop is amazing and the forces on the loops are sick. I tried 5-1 a few weeks ago, and yes there's a bit less headbanging, but the rest of the ride is meh. Zero airtime, barely any forces, it just, doesn't stand out to me like 7-1 does.

7-1 is the best. It's the smoothest seat out of the whole train(s). On the little drop into the turn out of the lift hill you get a second of airtime, than you turn and on the 138ft. drop you get some of the best floater air ever, better than Diamondback's. The turn around is just about the same in any seat, only it's smoother in 7-1. The double loop is alot of fun in back seat, you can see the front seat when at the top of the loop. It's also fun to look to your side out of the car during the loops and watch the park go upside down. The turn after the loop isn't as bad in 7-1 cause right when your turning into it, the front seat just hit the brakes so you go through it slower. You get a little bit of airtime out of the MCBR, and in the Double Corkscrew you get thrown around in a good way and you get some floater air. Than you hit your head going out of the final corkscrew into the drop no matter what seat. You feel like your going to hit your head on a branch going into the batwing! The batwing is about the same in any seat to me, and same with the final helix.
