I know I tend to be anti-Cedar Fair, but I really like what they're doing for 2011. Beast rode this year like it was in need of some retracking, and we all know about Flight Deck's paint. Beast is bei

The job is not being done in house. Baynum Painting, a major painting contractor who has done many coasters in the past, including many for Six Flags, is doing it.

They have painted a lot of our rides in the past.

See the list on this page, although it needs to be updated from paramount!

A pic I took with my phone of Flight Deck:

Cell phone pic so not the best.....but it looks nice! I'm happy with it! I take back anything I said negative about the scheme!

It's difficult to see what the colors are. Please explain them in writing. Thank you!

The supports are still the faded gray, however the track itself is is a lighter and more apparent gray, looks more defined.

I would say the gray is like the laptop color.

So, does anyone know if this is the same company that just painted Vortex this past year (or two years...). I it's listed, but so is King Cobra, so it may of been a previous coat.

Has anyone got a picture of the new paint job?

I would like to see Racer be the next on the "to-paint list"

Same, I'd love to see The Racer go back to it's original Red, White and Blue paint scheme. It would does wonders with a Coney mall revamp.

I asked them about that when they were doing the 5@5 thing, and they basically said it would be too expensive to do that. Too bad we can't convince Kinzel to donate a few thousand nickels towards the cause :P

did anyone by any chance save the video, that was posted in this thread, showing off some of the paint job?

that user removed the video, and i'd like to see it.

thanks for any help. :)

Well won't that look nice. This is a very long awaited paintjob, and very overdo. I always take the time for this ride when I visit the park and I can't wait to see it.

Since this topic was bumped, thought I'd reply to it. Passed KI today and the distinction from the track to the supports looks really good! I can't wait to see it up close!

Why would KI just paint Flight Deck's track? It would seem that if they're going to the trouble, and are already up there, they would paint the supports as well. It's still a great coaster. Worth the walk.

I don't think any CEO's or employees would take a pay cut so that one of their buildings (or structures) could get re-painted.
