CoasterKrazy
Has anyone else had problems with the KIC front page? Whether I'm on PC or Mac, using various browsers, there is "code" above each news topic, and above the list of latest forum posts. Just wanted to point that out.
CoastersRZ
Yes, we are aware of the issue. Unfortunately, only Dane has the ability to edit and fix the coding on the site...
Hendrick
Does only Dane have access to the files, or does only Dane know how to edit the files?
Avatar
Edit. The front page is linked to a news feed so it does not allow for HTML in the first post for either a picture or to link to another page/site. The past several post to that forum has had HTML's in those post. So nothing is wrong that needs fixed other than to make sure HTML/links are not in the first post. CoastersRZ
Only Dane has access to edit these files. I know how to edit these files (and even have DreamWeaver on my laptop), and I have built ConeyIslandCentral.com, a sister site to KIC. The front page post are in BB code, not HTML. ([ b] vs. < b>). It says the error is in "conf_global.php", which if I remember correctly, has a whole bunch of random settings for the forum. Gordon Bombay
I spoke with Dane on the phone last night. He plans to fix it as well as some other things. Unfortunately, he just moved and is having problems with his internet provider and his data lines. He currently has no internet aside from his cell phone. He'll get to fixing the site as soon as things settle down.

IndyGuy4KI
Thanks Dane! I would love to see the "new for 2007" removed and new links added for 2012!

PKIDelirium
I'm guessing it was the now-disabled Friendly URLs that was messing up the latest posts output?
Dane
Friendly URL's are still enabled and working for me...
PKIDelirium
Odd, I'm seeing the index.php?showtopic=1234 links.

IndyGuy4KI
It seems to be fine on Chrome and IE9 on my machine. Has everyone cleared their cache and manually reloaded the page with a F5?
CoastersRZ
All is fine for me, and I`m running Firefox...
