BavarianBeatle Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I have a few pictures of the coned off area in the parking lot. This thread is out of control, so I'm not sure if any info was supplied on the area. It's two small areas, one with a generator, and the other with two portable water containers. Doesn't seem like it's 100% related to the mystery ride. I'm working from my ipad. I can't figure out how to upload the pics.... I saw the green generator. I couldn't tell what the two white objects were, though. I would have taken pictures, but it was raining pretty hard when we left.
thedevariouseffect Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Man I love seeing those photos zoomed in especially with equipment and people next to them, really shows off the size of those things. Very very impressive...hopefully were not too far off from seeing more than footers be poured, I'd def like to see new developments other than concrete shapes with rebar and studs lol
Jr for Birdy Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I know this, but usually when he goes quite he has a reason, it's whats the reason that's curious.
Maverick00 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 It's interesting to take a step back and realize it's almost August and we know practically nothing about this project. There's usually something out there that would lend a legit ament clue. 4
Hoeter Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 ^ And they're doing one hell of a job of keeping it under wraps too... 10
YoungStud Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Guys, haven't you noticed all the footers are square???? And they all appear to be tapered for a circular support. 3
kjkjkj Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Does anyone remember, way back in 2008 before Diamondback was announced. On the Jacob's Ladder game in Coney Mall there was a giant inverted yellow coaster in the mural? Some people thought it was a clue for what was to become Diamondback. Could they have been leaving clues since 2008? Photo Credit to Angryemobeaver/ Dropzone99 I know this probably doesn't ACTUALLY have anything to do with project 2014. But wouldn't it be crazy if it did? Edited July 24, 2013 by kjkjkj 8
YoungStud Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 only two bolts. And the b&m is tapered square, the intamin is tapered round and uses 3 bolts per side. The footers have a round taper to them if you look closely.
invertedgirl Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 In that picture there is no sob... Hmmm they go on a 5 or 10 year plan right? So in 08 it could have been in mind right? Be awesome if it was. 1
BeastForever Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Guys, haven't you noticed all the footers are square???? And they all appear to be tapered for a circular support. Can you post a link for that photo? It's not showing up for me... Noone's pictures are for some reason.
Dieseltech20 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Thanks for the up close pictures. Now all this talk about tunnels can stop. They have to dig HOLES in order to make Footings. As for the false info from last night, funny, except to whatever numbskull took it a little too serious. Seems like something that a park employee could get into trouble over. Not worth the laugh in my opinion. As for the Intamin footings, the ones (Some anyways) posted require a square hole in the top of them. We already know that project 2014 does not have square holes. 1
flightoffear1996 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Is there and structural differences in what a round vs square footing provides?
YoungStud Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Maverick is circular with 3 bolts per side, raptor and montu are square with 2 bolts per side... GAME OVER BRO's
locostitch Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This is my first post but I now believe it is Intamin. 1
YoungStud Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I am certain its going to be a blitz and use the terrain to dive in and out of. Not much room for a lift hill. LSM lift with a 95-100 degree drop is what I see, or no lift at all... The footprint appears not to be big enough to currently run 3 train operation for capacity, The blitz will allow 3-4 trains... 1
KI FANATIC 37 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This is my first post but I now believe it is Intamin. May I ask why? Im not saying your wrong I just want to hear why you think so. Maybe I can learn something too!

Maybe I can learn something too! I say this because looking back at other inverts from B&M like oziris with circle supports they have 8 bolts not 6, and switch from square to circle tapers 1

Be awesome if it was. There's actually a large wooden roller coaster on the far left of that mural. However, don't put much thought into it - the same canvas is used at other parks for their games, such as at Canada's Wonderland. 3
Millennium310 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 As my username and picture imply, I still have my heart set on an Intamin giga. 3
KI FANATIC 37 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 As my username and picture imply, I still have my heart set on an Intamin giga. Right there with ya! 4
BeastForever Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 My heart is set on an Intamin Blitz. My heart just ACHES for something like Maverick to come to KI... 3

Millennium310 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I couldn't agree more, a blitz would be just as good of an addition as a giga.
silver2005 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 only two bolts. And the b&m is tapered square, the intamin is tapered round and uses 3 bolts per side. The footers have a round taper to them if you look closely. OzIris would like to disagree with you on the shapes and the number of bolts. 1
