thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 What do you think the triangle shaped footer behind slingshot will be? It most likely for an incline turn around! Ride Warriors..Not just a coaster rider, but a way of life! Is a cobra roll what's on FOF after the launch or is that a cobra flip? I think that the footer will be for a cobra roll/flip/whatever is on Flight of Fear thingey. Then why would you ask a question if you already know it all? Ride Warriors..Not just a coaster rider, but a way of life! I just couldn't remember if it was flip or roll.
Creed Bratton Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's also entirely possible that they the construction crew is scheduled to go vertical between now and the 8th, and Don scheduled the announcement based on the construction schedule. Anything is possible at this point. That's a very good point! I guess we will see what the next 8 days bring us! Wouldn't we be seeing Clifford or any of his pals? 3
Coaster Addict Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 If this announcement isn't streamed live, I'm going to have take a late trip to the park. Is there any info on maybe a live stream?
06jds377 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Indeed the Son of Beast was the first wooden looping coaster terp, that is one thing you are wrong about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_loop Ouch, no thanks to the 13' symmetrical loop. 6
KI FANATIC 37 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 If this announcement isn't streamed live, I'm going to have take a late trip to the park. Is there any info on maybe a live stream? Im sure someone will film it all and post it on here.
Merthecat Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Not very long till the announcement! Mer, who's very excited right now and probably won't sleep for the next week. 6
rcwizard13 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Why are people saying Inverted Coasters are a thing of the past? That's like saying because no Wild Mouse Coasters have been installed in a while, they are a thing of the past. No Wild Mouse Coasters have been installed in a while? You might want to talk to the people at Knott's about that. 7
thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I think that there should be a 'tunnel that's to small for the train' element somewhere. 1
The Interpreter Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hopefully not literally. As in boats that don't fit their chutes. 17
upstop Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Like on Loch Ness monster at Busch gardens va Those cars are rather confining....even for little ole me...

thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Or Beast...Beasts last tunnel just about cracked open my head once
thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Or Beast...Beasts last tunnel just about cracked open my head onceI wasn't prepared for the curve and my neck just about snapped and my ear hit the edge of the car.
Dieseltech20 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Why are people saying Inverted Coasters are a thing of the past? Because they are upset that the park is not installing the Coaster THEY want. 14
Tanna Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I just don't think that light blue fits well with a ride called Banshee. I think like purple and green or at least darker colors would make more sense. But to be completely honest I really don't think the color will stop anyone from riding Yes! They can go with an Irish/Moors color scheme. 1
Creed Bratton Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 ^^ depends on how far along the footers are. That was in reference to construction going vertical. In order to go vertical, cranes would need to be present....as well as well you know, supports and what not.

Rcoaster10 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I honestly think this will be an invert, but I still think that it might be a dive coaster and surprise everyone.
thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 How about a shuttle loop/giga coaster? Like a really REALLY big coaster similar to Invertigo!
thedevariouseffect Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I wish I had enough time to make a send in the cranes shirt 8
thoe124 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I have a theory. I really don't think it will be called the Banshee. There are 3 categories of names at ki. Names that describe the ride, things in flight , and animals. In 07' they made Firehawk. (In flight) in 09' they made Diamondback. (Animal) so the new ride should be named something that describes the ride! Besides who thinks an old woman with a comb is creepy anyway??

A woman who comes to visit you and wails before you die? Guess im just a chicken. 3
gingerkid Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Did any local news cover the story today? (Besides the online articles)

fryoj Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The triangle footer doesn't mean anything. There is one on Behemoth where two pieces of track come close to each other and they use the same footer to brace both pieces. No special element. The ones on KI 2014 are probably just where the turnaround at the top of the lift hill is. Its easier to pour a single footer for 3 supports instead of three separate. 3
beastfan11 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 My ex girlfriend would appreciate it if you stopped posting pictures of her. 31
