locostitch Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Cap section is now complete and yellow crane is picking up track
diamonbackandbeastlover Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I wish they would position the webcams at different angles
fryoj Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Looks like they are about to set the first piece of drop track. 1
coasterguy15 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 15th track element in place and being installed.
KHFan29 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 track/support completed so far: You forgot the two A-pillars at the bottom of the first drop. 1
davidw Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 track/support completed so far: http://www.davidwaderich.com/hotlink/KI/TrackComplete/TrackComplete_2013-09-30.jpg You forgot the two A-pillars at the bottom of the first drop. Fixed
calakapepe Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I wish we could have more actual statistics released about the ride.. I think they're cool to know. 1
Adventuro Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 track/support completed so far: This is cool' 5
IndyGuy4KI Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 After riding Raptor several time over the weekend, I am so ready for Banshee! 5
BeastForever Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I wish we could have more actual statistics released about the ride.. I think they're cool to know. I know right. Sure, they're not technically what makes a ride a great but they're still very interesting to know. I think it was sort of a letdown to be at the announcement for the single-largest investment in park history and they don't even tell us how tall it's going to be. Nor does it even have the height on their website. The only things we know from the website are it's speed, length, and number of inversions. Diamondback's website seemed to have almost every statistic imaginable!... http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/ride/statistics.cfm
calakapepe Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 EDIT: We know how tall it is.. (167ft) But I'm not sure when we were told, or where..
BeastForever Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I know the height's 167 ft (RCDB), but I don't remember hearing it at the announcement. All I heard was 208 ft elevation change. Maybe I wasn't listening but I still think it should be on the site. 2
Coaster.Rider.Kings Island Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 ^^It is on the website. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee/the-evidence/wail-of-the-Banshee-blog/blog-article/Title 1
ThatGuy11 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 From Kings Island's Facebook: Wow, the track is redder than I thought it was. Its almost like Firehawk. 3
jdf21972 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I would hope sand in the tracks. Raptor is one of the most annoying, noisiest coasters I've ever rode. I am hoping they get smart and quiet that down. Just gives me a headache thinking about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Kat Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 After riding Raptor several time over the weekend, I am so ready for Banshee! Ditto. That was the first thing we rode on Friday night and I had never been on a full circuit invert and it was just so incredible!!!
shawnofthedead Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 From Kings Island's Facebook: Wow, the track is redder than I thought it was. Its almost like Firehawk. Its more maroon, this picture the lighting must be off or somthing. The supports are almost the same color and Delerium supports.

Ok, I really wish I could see it in person, I haven't been to Kings Island in two years!
Ride On_17 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I've said it before, but I'll say it again. B&Ms are the sexiest things I've ever seen. Even though I'm already going with someone to homecoming, I'm tempted to ask out Banshee instead. 3
Ride On_17 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I think I could be able to see the inner beaty...The cool steel...The romantic colors...It's a match made in Heaven... If I'm acting like this now, I don't even want to know what this off season is going to be like. 3
calakapepe Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Banshee takes awhile to get ready and have all her work done to be able to go out in public.. Much longer than the normal girl. I advise against it. 5
Jr for Birdy Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 This is getting weird. Anyways, when you see Banshee in person it looks nothing of DB or Firehawk's red as previously mentioned. 12
Millennium310 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I would hope sand in the tracks. Raptor is one of the most annoying, noisiest coasters I've ever rode. I am hoping they get smart and quiet that down. Just gives me a headache thinking about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Since some people like the roar and some hate it, I think they should separate all the track pieces and only place it in certain ones to create a somewhat neutral chopping/helicopter noise as the train flies past. 2
YoungStud Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 After riding Raptor several time over the weekend, I am so ready for Banshee! Raptor is what I call a first generation invert. I can only wish Banshee will be like the sub 1999 b&m's.
