We did not mention all the statistics during the announcement because statistics are not what make a roller coaster great; it's the ride experience it delivers that makes it great.

  • It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.

We have guests that are more excited about our live shows than our roller coasters, that visit the park specifically for the shows. For these guests, the Cirque Imagine announcement was as exciting as

There is a smaller crane base in the parking lot but the arm pieces are not in it anymore

Interesting.

Mr. Helbig took a great picture of Banshee today....And because of that picture, we can now match-up rendering and real photo!

^ LOL

speaking of "baby".... It appears Clifford had a baby!!!! :D There's now a small red crane down in the valley by the still un-named small black and cream crane :P

Looks like another part of the zero g roll is in!

EDIT: Id say half (Or more) Of the Zero G Roll Is done ^--^

^ hard to tell now that the camera is in night mode but it looks like that piece is in place now.

It's hard to believe we still have nearly 6 months to wait

I am just wondering how the large red construction crane will get out of its current location? Looks to me like it is now "boxed in". Will it be unassembled then reassemble down the slope of the hill to do the second half of the coaster? Or, will it just be unassembled and then just use the other smaller cranes to finish the job now that the tallest support columns have been erected?

After further inspecition of what I can see, it looks as if they are possibly assembling another crane in the valley, If so, they will use that crane to remove "Clifford"s large boom pieces and the base of Clifford will be disassembled where it is and trucked out. then just use the new crane to finish the 2nd half of the coaster down in the valley. BUT, I could be wrong. LOL

^ Welcome to the forum, steveinphoenix! :) glad to have you!! :)

The large red crane is called Clifford :) I'm also wondering how he's going to get out. I was thinking he would move before they put up the next piece of track up for the zero G roll, but if I am correct in my assumption that they put that piece in place, then I was wrong in my guess about moving him out, and now have not a clue how he's getting out unless he is able to flex down enough to fit under there. No idea.... I guess we will find out tomorrow what becomes of Clifford!

eh, think I was wrong about them getting that other piece of track in place. It really looked like they had, but now it's looking like they didn't lol. Also just noticed that the lift hill is a lot steeper in reality than it appears in the track layout.

I belive they will be using the "New" Crane that was on site today for the rest of the ride becuase Clifford cant make it into the valley.

I think the twist that they are installing now will be my favorite part of the ride! It just looks so fun.

new crane aka baby clifford? lol

yay!!! much anticipated nightly update :D

so, about 5 pieces of track and 4 supports were added today?

2 supports and and 4 pieces of track.

I'd i prefer Clifford Jr. :)

It does look like a Clifford Junior lol I saw it show up earlier and said hey!!! It looks like Clifford had a baby!!!

Personally I think CJ would be most fitting. ;)

Honestly, I am really shocked that this ride is already half done! Gatekeeper only had about station track done when the season ended! Kings Island is going to have the work cut out for them during this off season!

So aren't the next few pieces of track going to be where Banshee hits top speed?

Thanks CoastersRZ!

Wow. That is just crazy to think about the speed through that element - forceful or forceless - fast is good enough for me :)

is anyone else amazed at how many supports are on this ride? i ive seen 3 b&m inverts (raptor, afterburn, alpengheist) and dont remember them having that many supports. if Banshee was named with something that went along with the colors of brown supports and green track it would literally look like a forest after the zero g roll... or is that just me?

It's funny you say that because it's actually the opposite. If you look at Raptor it has more than double the amount of supports for the lift hill and throughout the entire ride. Banshee has a minimal amount.

I paid no attention to the supports on Raptor. I was too busy loving the ride. I rode it for the first time on September 27th, front row, my first ever full invert and I LOVED it. If it wasn't my first major trip to CP with lots of rides to enjoy that I had never been on before, I easily could have spent most of the weekend just on that ride :D

Typically a B&M will have a support for each section of track aside from tops of inversions.

Sometimes they skip supports when B&M feels it is not needed.

Do ANY of B & M's coaster have a nice straight first drop? I like that much better then swooping to the left or the right.

Diamondback has one.

There are several others.. but yes the swooping drop is kind of their thing.
