I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!!! Less than 24 hours til media day and just over 50 hours til opening day

The Earth is the proper name of a planet, and thus should always be capitalized.

That picture of the sign just made me so much more excited for Banshee.

I hope the lights are on for the early morning rides tomorrow. This looks amazing.

I believe Mr. Scheid sent out a Tweet (maybe a reply?) saying the lighting would be on.

So far TPR has listed about 90 people attending plus the 50 or so from here. I have no idea what the other coaster groups have but there's a small sample size.

At least I have a band rehearsal to tie me over Thursday evening to get me through Wait-For-Banshee-itis. I'm hoping the forecast stays true for Friday as well, looks to be a gorgeous day!

I would think it will run regardless of the temperatures. You would need to test/run it under all circumstances to see how it will do. Ohio is a pain in the rear state of weather, so might as well.

Guess what's on the park's facebook!?!?

The looks on their faces:

Persons 1-3: "THIS IS AWESOME!"

Don Helbig: "Eh, this is good but Racer's better." :P

 I think it's an "Oh yeah! This baby rocks!" expression. (...and, I don't know if it's the transformative effect of the G forces, wind, or sheer joy-of-riding, but somebody in this picture looks a little bit like Jimmy Kimmel... just a little bit...)

218 people have RSVP'd to GOCC's Banshee Media Day event on Facebook. I don't know how many TPR folks are in that number or even if it includes anyone from TPR.

Well, it is Media Day! That's what it is for! The only thing they have restricted in that category was to not take photos or videos while riding.

EDIT: Banshee is testing as of right now, but my computer is acting up so I can't post a webcam pic.

Has there been any request by the park not to post anything during media day? I just don't want to break any rules :)

You can post, photograph or film anything you see tomorrow. As long as its not a POV or anything taken on any rides.

As a fair warning unfortunately as its already happened, there will be "elevated monitoring" for those individuals who try and shoot a POV photo or video. Those who try will be escorted out of the park with some paperwork.

The park has also already recorded a nice HD POV of the ride that will be released tomorrow.

I'm not even sure what the point in people shooting POVs is - many coasters already have perfectly fine POVs, and when you're the one riding it, why do you feel the need to video tape it?

Just take pictures and videos...off ride...that's sufficient!

The station reminds me of Minecraft

I was thinking the same thing! Lol in an earlier post someone posted a pic of CP's new ticket booth & it looks like Cedar Fair is starting to go Mine Crafty (possibly the next kids area theme for all the parks)

I hate amateur POVS. It's like Blair Witch, only worse, if possible. And always some idiot with his 'witty' commentary.

I'm glad that they are releasing a good HD POV from the park. I'm still trying to sell my niece on riding it.
