Fire-Beast-OF FEAR Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ^ You and Lucy can at least wait outside Haunt Attractions together. 6
Kat Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ^ You and Lucy can at least wait outside Haunt Attractions together. I'll join in the waiting outside of the attractions LOL! I am a certified Haunt chicken. 3
FoF96" Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 As much as a media day extravaganza sounds great, and, as much as riding on opening day sounds wonderful, I simply abhor waiting in lines to the point that I absolutely refuse to deal with that nonsense. To quote Van Halen, "I'll Wait". Another day or two won't kill me. Waiting in lines like that might. I'll quote Van Halen too. Why don't you try Banshee "Right Now"? Van Halen regularly tells me that on a beloved ride in Action Zone. 11
Gplez90 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I dont find long lines as bad if its a ride where you can watchin the coaster go through a lot of its cycle. Judging by the location of Banshee queue area i think we may get to see Banshee go through its entire cycle while standing in line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
Coasterama Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 ^ That may be true, but in Coaster Crew's interview with Don, he stated that from the midway you'll see train disappear down into the valley and reappear before it goes into the station. 6
rcwizard13 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Both are true. You'll watch it. It'll disappear for a few seconds, then it'll come back, you'll watch it some more, then it'll disappear, then comeback and disa.... 3
calakapepe Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Whether it sounds crazy or not, I like waiting in long. Anticipation, my friends. 3
The Interpreter Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Being of a certain age, there is only one: Carly Simon. Of course. 7
thedevariouseffect Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I don't mean to derail this thread, but it's a Tim Curry moment in history One of my favorite actors of all time 2

From the midway, yes, but the queue (referring to the blueprints) will be situated between the station, lift hill, and the zero-g roll. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Coasterama Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I guess we will just have to wait until media day to see the views from the queue. None the less, we will at least have the first have of the ride to admire. 1
Gplez90 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I hope they place the camera at the exit of the dive loop Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
calakapepe Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I kinda hope not, for that place.I would rather not continuously see flashing that close to the midway. I think somewhere between the zero G roll exit and the bottom after the 2nd loop would be better. If this were RCT2 1
UnrealNightmare Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think the best location for the camera would be between the exit of the batwing and the start of the second loop. 2
Adventuro Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I feel like I would have to ride Banshee before I could decide where I think the camera should go. Like with Diamondback I've always thought they should've just done the bottom of the first drop. 1
Coasterama Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 According to USA Today, and the news media "always have their facts straight", Banshee will be Kings Island's 15th roller coaster, it will be the first female inspired theme park ride, and it will be 4,424 feet long. Seriously? Here's the article: http://t.co/VbfJOp5Z0K 2
diamondhawk Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I know 4,424 feet is wrong, but I believe the park counts Surf Dog as a coaster, giving a total of 15. 1
Nick_Plummer Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Really? I always thought of Surf Dog as a flat ride. 2
Thrill_Biscuit Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The park has my permission to record my scream of "Here we go again!" if they want to. It is going to sound like a Banshee. 5

Bennett Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Now, the article states 1,424 feet...7 inversions and 68 MPH would be one hell of a way to travel 1,424 feet. 10
milesharrison Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Looks like they're doing something up front... 6
Nick_Plummer Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Maxim, my dad's old crane company, until he quit cause his boss treated him like crap.
APE Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Maxim, my dad's old crane company, until he quit cause his boss treated him like crap. My best friend worked there for years. They were not a good company to work for according to him. 1
Gplez90 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Lets play "How many rides can you spot in the photo above?" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
GamesAndRides Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think in past years (May be wrong) They stored Congo Falls Boats in the Entrance Building. Not sure though. 1
GamesAndRides Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Lets play "How many rides can you spot in the photo above?" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I see 7.
Executioner822 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 i count every coaster as a separate track unless the coaster is in fact one track. I count KI's Racer as 2 rides because even though they're identically mirrored theyre 2 seprate tracks while Kennywood's Racer is only one continuous track. 1
