September 4, 201312 yr Author What are those footers in the grass lawn thing, along the path? You mean when your on the bridge or by the western town?
September 4, 201312 yr Author Either. Not a one word post... This is near the engine house heading back to rivertown station Which are where the fake tree stumps are where the anamtronics would plug in.
September 4, 201312 yr I will say it again, those footers were used during Winterfest in 2005. It for the theming of White Christmas Express!

September 4, 201312 yr Author Also theme from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (though the version actually used for the movie is rarely heard these days) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4 I can't even find that song do you know where I can?
September 5, 201312 yr Also theme from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (though the version actually used for the movie is rarely heard these days) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4 I can't even find that song do you know where I can? Look for Hugo Montenegro on iTunes. His version is the one that's well-known and I believe that's the same one used on the train as well.

September 5, 201312 yr To expand the train would be nice, but greatness achieved to bring the story, the characters, back to the train:
September 6, 201312 yr I wonder how many people consider the KI&MVRR a "ride" in the first place, as opposed to an "attraction".
September 7, 201312 yr Well lets put it this way, was the train open for 17 years before Soak City, yes, is it part of the rides dept, yes, does it have a ride rating, yes, and will it be open tomorrow even though SC is closed. Yes. So there is no question, it's a ride.
September 7, 201312 yr My wife and daughter had never rode the train at CP until recently and I hadn't rode it in several several years. We didn't ride it until right before we were leaving the park sadly. We loved it so much, it just blows KI train ride away! My daughter talks about going back to ride 'that train with the fire' all the time! Kings Island needs to step it up, it's not even in the ballpark with the CP train ride in our opinion.

Yes KI&MVRR is nothing compared to CP&LERR if they add anamatronic there it would be better and expand the railroad.
September 9, 201312 yr I think you meant that the other way around... Got your caboose on the front of the train!
September 9, 201312 yr Real coal fired engine > Propane and fake wood surrounding the tank Just my opinion
September 9, 201312 yr Still better than real steam engine converted to diesel under EPA pressure (Six Flags Over Georgia)
September 9, 201312 yr Diesel burning or an actual diesel engine? A steam locomotive will burn anything we put it if the fire is hot enough. Source: I am a steam locomotive fireman for a railroad.
September 9, 201312 yr Actual diesel. The boilers were reportedly removed. Local train buffs were incensed.
September 9, 201312 yr Author Real coal fired engine > Propane and fake wood surrounding the tank Just my opinion I prefer coal two, still it's considered A real steam engine and yea that wood surrounding the propane tanks looks so fake and you still can see the tanks with the wood blocking it.
September 9, 201312 yr Author I think you meant that the other way around... Got your caboose on the front of the train! What?
September 9, 201312 yr You said Cedar Point's train is nothing compared to KI's when you meant the exact opposite.
September 9, 201312 yr Author You said Cedar Point's train is nothing compared to KI's when you meant the exact opposite. I didn't realize that
September 9, 201312 yr Man after the fact edits mess me up I re-read his post over and over trying to figure what you meant Terp.
September 9, 201312 yr That's why I posted what I did about him editing the post. Most of us add the edit line when we fix something.
September 10, 201312 yr Author I don't know if people pay attention but at KI when the conductor gives the highball they actually say it and waving arm, at CP it's just a simple wave. One thing I also noticed at KI they use whistle signals before entering station they use one long one short, at CP there are no whistle codes except the highball, some engineers do use whistle codes at CP.
