KIRules!
If you could add stuff to KI or bring stuff back to the park then what would it be? For me, I would bring back Phantom Theater, Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle, Tomb Raider The Ride. I would add the worlds tallest, fastest, longest wing coaster with lots of keyholes, add a Top Thrill Dragster like ride, Wicked Twister ride, Maverick ride, Full Throttle, Intamin Megasplash to replace Congo Falls, a Falcons Fury ride to replace Drop Tower, get rid of Planet Snoopy and replace it with Looney Tunes and add a massive DC Comics area and make Kings Island do the level of theming that Disney does, I would also make our Haunt event like Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. What do you all think of that for KI!
The Interpreter
I think you'd build Cedar Fair Ohio at Mason, with similar results as Six Flags Ohio.

CP&LERR Fan
You do realize you have to get paramount permission to use Scooby doo or you'll get a lawsuit if you actually were going to do this.
The Interpreter
Uh no. Scooby Doo is now a property licensed to...Six Flags. Time Warner is the licensor.

Jr for Birdy
I happen to like the gorillas but monkeys are cool too! I hope one of you billionaires builds a dream park here in seasonal Ohio soon, I will enjoy it so much, right up till you go bankrupt, then I'm going back to that park in Mason,Oh. The Interpreter
Taft owned HB. In late 1991, Ted Tuner's Turner Broadcasting bought it. In 1996, Turner was merged into Time Warner. KI was using the HB characters under a Taft granted license, which expired some years ago.

KI-ORIG-EMP
As for going to the zoo to watch the monkeys, I once saw the chimps giving an x-rated performance to all of their fans watching them. Now can you imagine the mother's response to her child when they ask her, "Mommy what are the chimps doing?" Terpy, I will have a Wendy's double whopper bacon cheese burger on a sesame seed bun and an ice cold beer to wash it down.

He also said sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. I saw Ted a time or two in Atlanta. TBS would have been far better had he never sold it...ahem...merged with Time Warner. Paramount Parks supposedly merged with Cedar Fair, too.
Stoan
Personally I would add a bit of paint to everything at KI. A lot of the park needs some TLC and that is about it. As for specific changes:Fix up and add to the little Western Town and Fort Coney on the Miami Valley Railroad. Actually turn off the lights in Flight of Fear, being able to see the track kind of kills a lot of the ride for me. I really enjoyed the original path of Tomb Raider. Add a few more small paths around the park to make getting around a bit easier. BRING BACK THE BACKWARD RACER! Boo Blasters is a shadow of how great Phantom Theater was. Instead of doing manual time tracking for each of the rides, I would really like to see more advanced digital system. Picture if you will, one of those number in line things they use at butcher shops. Only on the back of each ticket is a QR Code that is scanned when you pull your number. When you get up to the front of the line hand it to the person standing there and they can scan it in. This would allow them to get exact times that can be averaged out to show real-time waits. They would only need a few people every so often to do this and now that a lot of the bigger coasters have people at the start of the line checking heights, they could easily assign the task of handing out the tickets to that employee to hand out to avoid unneccessary waste. This also allows them to track the times in other areas of the park. How awesome would it be to walk into the park and see a big signboard that lists the current wait times for all the major attractions in the park. You can see what has a short line and go to that ride, promoting a more even spread of people in the park as well.
painterswife
Would LOVE for KI to bring back The Animal Safari, the Water Shows and the big slide! OldieButGoodie
I loved the water shows and much of what's mentioned in this thread, having grown up with the park. I'd bring back the 'area' theming. That should be reasonably inexpensive beginning with music. For rides, oddly enough I'd like the flying scooters and tumblebug.
thedevariouseffect
Someone needs to do a giant ball factory thing like they did at Geauga Lake (the Gotcha Games deal)...As a kid that was a blast, I bet anything I'd still love that thing. LoraX
At the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, not only do they fling poop, they pick each other's noses and eat it. It's gross, but hysterical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

thegajone
Would LOVE for KI to bring back The Animal Safari, the Water Shows and the big slide! My brothers and I enjoyed those As children at KI and would love for my grandchildren to see them and enjoy them as we'll!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Great first post! Those are some of my all-time favs as well, especially the big slide! If we're talking about reasonable requests, I'm all about theming. I would love if they either brought back some theming that they've used in the past (as others have already mentioned) or add some new theming. The park does an outstanding job with theming during Halloween Haunt IMO, so I know they're more than capable. I could go on and on about theming, but I would be beating a dead horse. Instead I'll continue to beat the "bring back these rides!" dead horse.... If we're talking fantasies, I would LOVE if they brought back the following attractions: - Animal Safari (like you mentioned, though it would obviously need to be moved a bit) - Giant slide (like you mentioned, I think they could make room for it in kiddie-land) - A Skylab that's actually functional (in the same spot it used to be) - Flight Commander (in the same spot it used to be) - The quarter pitch game (in the same spot it used to be) -- not really a fantasy I guess, it seems like this would be easy to pull off! - The Flying Eagles (new location, not sure where though) - Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal (same spot after taking down Tomb Raider building, if DB isn't in the way?) - A new version of the Antique Cars (not quite sure where it would go, maybe replace Dinosaurs Alive? Would that be enough space?) - King Cobra (not sure where this would go either!) - Replace Boo Blasters with Phantom Theater (as many others have said) - The backwards train on Racer - Days of Thunder to the Action Theater - The tall slide tower-thing with 4 different slides on it that used to be in the water park - The trams that would shuttle people in from the parking lot (I know, not an attraction, but it would be nice for crowded days!
