PKIVortex
If past Easters have any say when the park was open I'd say the park will be pretty dead on the 20th. I think this is one reason for the 12 to 7 operating hours. But on the other hand with a brand spanking new coaster opening it could be very busy. I guess I'll find out. The Interpreter
I think the last Easter I went, I was able to ride the Flying Eagles repeatedly with no wait. That won't be possible this year.
DontWantToWait42mar0
Kings Island should have a day and night this summer where the park doesn't close!
The Interpreter
Staffing would be a huge issue. It's very, very unlikely.
calakapepe
Kings Island should have a day and night this summer where the park doesn't close! That'd be awesome as a guest though
Delirium2018
It's just one day. It wouldn't hurt too bad.
The Interpreter
There are far, far more issues with this than most would think. Again, it's very unlikely. Walmart and Kroger are open 24 hours a day many places. That's a far different situation.
TTD-120-420
Is Disney the only park that has tried this?
xXDrummerKiDXx
I imagine it would cost a lot of money. Staffing would probably be a problem to some degree. But imagine Beast running at 3am!
MDMC01
(in response to APE's and calakapepe's posts about some parks not closing ride lines early) I totally agree! I remember the last time I went to Cedar Point, my group and I were walking to the front gate the park (thinking that rides were shutting down for the night) and then I saw that Raptor's line was still open; my friend and I got a quick night ride on Raptor before we left.
Colonel_SoB_fan
Is Disney the only park that has tried this? Magic Kingdom and Disneyland both do it annually now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk
DontWantToWait42mar0
Gee wiz, here I thought this was supposed to be a site for Kings Island enthusiasts.. I suggest extended hours, and you all are against it as though you would rather Kings Island always be closed. Smh
Diamondbacker
That would be cool to marathon Banshee at the wee hours of the night. I'd like to see a lock in at the park some time.
jdf21972
Kings Island should have a day and night this summer where the park doesn't close! I think city of Mason would complain about noise situation. They complained about ERT so it was reverted to 9:30. Just remember Saturday nights in July the park is open till midnight and 4th of July. Great fun. Good times riding The Beast at midnight! Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk
APE
If you don't like the noise move somewhere else. That park brings in a ton of revenue for that area.
Oldiesmann
That's a tough situation though. If you're complaining about park noise that comes from things that have been done since before you moved in, then yes, you should move elsewhere. However, you likely have a valid complaint if the park starts doing things differently to create additional noise (such as, for example, extending the fireworks show to an hour every night). Also, from what others have said, ERT was not rolled back to 9:30 because of noise complaints - it was done so because it was under-utilized - there weren't enough people taking advantage of it for them to warrant keeping ERT going for another 30 minutes in the mornings.
Sebastien6221
I for one could deal without the fireworks every hour, but it would just be nice to have more opportunity to enjoy night rides rather than maybe get to just go on one, especially since some of us don't have the money to be able to go numerous times a year. For instance, just since last year I've tried making it an annual thing, go once a year, get a Fast Lane Plus pass, and make it a very enjoyable day. To be able to experience all of the best rides in one night would be absolutely amazing, and I don't think that the noise problem would be too bad even if I had lived near before the open all day and night, which im a heavy sleeper anyways.
