DontWantToWait42mar0
The curse of The Bat returns? That orange paint sure does look slick though
rcwizard13
This has been discussed multiple times in other threads. For reasons I'm sure others could better explain, a section of rail needed to be replaced. I think it had to do with rust. It was welded taken off, then welded back on, but has not yet been painted to match.
Gplez90
They removed two separate sections of railing on The Bat for maintenance purposes, reinstalled them, but have not painted them yet. P.S. That webcam image is outdated by three days. They may have already painted it by now.

rcwizard13
It was welded off, then welded back on Welded off.....that's amazing!! Well, it was taken off in some way that is logical.
MantisMan
Welding it off is not very logical. More than likely it was cut off

Hoeter
It's a gap coaster! Get Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves on the phone! "How big is the gap?" "50 FEET!!! AT LEAST!!!"
rcwizard13
Welding it off is not very logical. I realized that upon your first post. Hence why I replied saying they would do it in a way that is logical.
shawnofthedead
Is this safe? Only replacing the tube part and welding it back? To me this says they put a Band-Aid on it instead of replacing the whole section of track. Not all welds hold.
The Interpreter
The replacement of track on Arrow steel coasters has been done in the same way for many years. It is how it was first assembled.
thedevariouseffect
The new Bat is bolted together though correct, not all hand bent and welded I believe yes? I haven't delved into that much research for our identity issue plagued ride.
The Interpreter
Correct. Double Loop was one of the last Arrows welded together on site.
Browntggrr
Plasma cutter for the win! Can opener. It's an older ride.....
jcgoble3
Perhaps it was cut off with a lightsaber?
TheBEASTunchained
The most reasonable way to cut off the section of track would be to use a few sharp, splintered edged pieces of southern yellow pine from the Son of Beast structure and saw it off........ ...Oh wait.....
Thrill_Biscuit
Nah. Someone used a can of invisible spray on the rail. That is all. Seriously, though, it looked like something I'd find after hours of wondering why nobody was getting on my creations in RCT, waaaaay back long ago.

Tr0y
I wonder if they are going to finish painting The Bat, the track they replaced has still yet to be painted.
PKIVortex
It looks as if the replaced pieces of track has now been painted. As of today.
Sebastien6221
I was going to post something about The Bat not being repainted before, but i thought that it was just shadows that made it seem greyish.
PKIVortex
They had to replace a couple pieces of track, and as of this weekend of operation they were not painted to match, but they are now.
