chuck norris Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 We went to Soak City this morning, arriving around 10:40. Longest line of cars to get into the park I've seen all season. When we left at 1pm the main park parking lot was close to full... Net, while I was there it was one of the busiest days I've seen all year. Have fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
VortexBFForever Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I took advantage of the rides during the 6:00 dinner hour (7:00 as well) and ended up catching the next Eiffel Tower elevator up just in time and waiting one cycle for Carousel, two cycles for Scrambler, a station wait at Vortex and a cycle wait at WindSeeker. With today's crowds I am so glad I spent the 5:00 hour watching Origins and Amazing Dobermans. Both shows were great, by the way. 2 Quote
timfsu2k Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 We are heading up to the park later this afternoon. Is it as crowded as I anticipated it would be today? I'm thinking full parking lot. But my wife loves fireworks so I'm happy to join the crowd! Quote
malem Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 In general, holidays themselves are better than the weekend preceding them. The exception in recent seasons has been Labor Day, in part due to the popular Dollar Days event at the park. Silver2005 just noted in the meetup thread that it currently doesn't look busy on the webcam. Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 So far it is lighter than the last few Tuesdays. Just walked on Beast and I'm in what looks like a 15 min wait for Mr. T. 3 Quote

I was considering it, but after doing the Columbus Zoo yesterday, I didn't think I could malem that hard. 2 Quote
Rivertown Rider Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I agree with Liz. Everything I rode today was minimal waits. Diamondback was under ten minutes and the most I waited all day was Mystic at around 20 minutes. Quote
silver2005 Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 From viewing the webcams, Diamondback is barely down the stairs, Banshee and Backlot are walk on, not a lot of people at the park overall on the midways. Quote
McSalsa Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Oh dang- I looked on da webcams and saw Diamondback AND Mystic Timbers not running, so I thought it was another power outage, but Vortex and BLSC were both working so that's clearly not the case. Then I looked the Action Zone cam, and Banshee is also down (though also not a power outage since Delirium and The Bat were both running). Beast seems to be the only one of the park's "Big 4" coasters currently working, with Mystic Timbers and both B&M's down. At least the lines for the rides that are working don't look too long... UPDATE: Mystic Timbers is still down apparently, but Diamondback and Banshee are fixed now. Diamondback looks to have around a 15 minute wait. Quote
silver2005 Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Well, if anyone is at the park and hasn't checked the weather, there is quite a big storm headed towards Mason/Kings Mills. Quote
MDMC01 Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 This storm is quite interesting; I am safely sheltered at Festhaus. I think Boo Blasters may one of the only things open atm. Quote
malem Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 The storms have completely avoided us at Cedar Point. Very short waits here today. Quote
Gannersdaddy Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Between the weather, Bring a Friend, and several company picnic, only Chic Fil A has no line 5 Quote
silver2005 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Just out of curiosity, how are the Soak City crowds during the later part of the day on weekdays (like after 6)? Thinking of going after work this week. Quote

malem Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Little to no wait for anything - provided it's presently open. There are scattered storms throughout the area. Quote
TheRickster Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 looks like there is going to be a small break in storms... so I might head down and try to hit up a couple things. Quote
silver2005 Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 I'll be up in a bit. malem, I'll text you when I get there. Quote
VortexBFForever Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 I'm heading to the Island as well, for sure! When I get there I'll start with Diamondback, and then head back to WindSeeker and Vortex. Even if a storm comes, hopefully I can reach all three of my milestones in due time! 1 Quote
Gemstone023 Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Friday, July 21 was a perfect KI day. Arrived at 3:00. Light crowds with short/no waits for rides and food. Beast, Banshee, Bat, WindSeeker, Drop Tower, White Water Canyon, Race for Your Life all walk-ons. Waited about 10 minutes for Mystic Timbers, Diamondback, Delirium and Firehawk. I waited about 10 minutes at Island Smokehouse, but that was only because they pulled out a new brisket for my order. Later, I waited a short time for a funnel cake and got about a million apologies for my wait. Look folks, I've been to the fair, I get that you actually have to fry the dough before you can give it to me. The staff seemed happier, too. Lots of smiles and going out of their way to say hello and have a great day. So glad we decided at the last minute to head to the park instead of working a full day at the office like responsible adults. 3 Quote
DiamondBanshee Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Anyone know how crowds are today?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
VortexBFForever Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 When I finished my shift, Vortex's wait was approaching 15-20 minutes. When we had two trains earlier today it peaked at 30. WindSeeker was a full cycle wait. Quote
DiamondBanshee Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Here right now and everything is less than 15 minutes. Diamondback is the longest at probably 15-20Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Saerenzea Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I've been spying through the cameras throughout the day and it looked pretty calm. Diamondback got to the covered area and filled up one switchback. Banshee was a station wait or just down the stairs. Quote
DiamondBanshee Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 If anybody just wants to come and ride for a few hours this is the emptiest the parks been all year. Everything is a walk on and I got a whole beast train to myselfSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5 Quote
VortexBFForever Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I had to wait no longer than five minutes today. I walked on to Invertigo, The Bat, Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, Vortex, and The Beast, riding each at least once all in the span of two hours. Now that's a great way to have fun after work!! 6 Quote
txdrummer Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Via the webcam it appears Diamondback is running only two trains. Anyone know why? Quote
