If you want to get pedantic about it, then the hours between midnight and 10 am on the 17th would be considered 1 day from it regardless of the hours left. ;)

Any news on Tower Gardens and its renovation?

Thank you for changing the subject. :)

jcgoble3, facepalming at the previous discussion (if the park hasn't opened yet, then the correct length of time until opening day is always "too long" :P)

I saw a picture earlier today showing some concrete being poured near the front of Tower Gardens, unless I was interpreting it wrong. It looked like they were expanding the walkway there on the way toward the new Coca-Cola Marketplace using some of the land that was previously Tower Gardens.

Found it, it was actually originally a Tweet from Kings Island, although I saw it through GOCC's Facebook:

Looking at Google maps while standing in the approximate area of that photo the only apparent difference is the replacement of the asphalt. The edge of the existing pavers coming out of Tower Gardens can clearly be seen in the posted picture.

We'll all know soon enough......

(Can't believe I'm getting drawn into this argument... :P)

Regarding how many exact days are left, I don't count the actual day as another day. If today was 10 days and not 9, then we would be at 1 more day on the 18th, which to me makes no sense. So that way on the 17th, we'll be at 1 day left, makes more sense.

Banshee, just clarifyin'.

If you want to be at 1 day left on the 17th, then your current system is at odds with that goal. To wit:

To get 1 day left on the 17th, then on the 16th you should have 2 days left.

Therefore on the 15th you should have 3 days left.

Therefore on the 14th you should have 4 days left.

Therefore on the 13th you should have 5 days left.

Therefore on the 12th you should have 6 days left.

Therefore on the 11th you should have 7 days left.

Therefore on the 10th you should have 8 days left.

Therefore tomorrow (the 9th) you should have 9 days left.

Therefore today (the 8th) it should be 10 days left.

This is similar to the math error made by people who say that 2012 was Kings Island's 40th season. Direct subtraction produces a number that counts one, and only one, end. Since that is what you are trying to count, you therefore should not be subtracting an extra day, as then you are counting neither today nor opening day.

Now is the time for me to start working super hard for the last 6 weeks of school so I can get a pass lol. Last year was an exception because of Banshee, this year I got to wait until the end of May.

I think this is the point when I try to find that "safe place" where I stowed our passes in November...

Let the seek and find adventure commence!

Lol

I'm the exact opposite.

Ours are stored away in a large safe.

Weird......I know.

The good part is I'm not searching this time of year :)

^That's how I store my Gold Pass as well, I have kept my GP in my wallet since last year! That way I don't have to look all over for my pass when needed.

Mine stay in my "amusement park season passes" pocket of my wallet.

Yes, I have that...
