In 2004, some mom ranting that SpongeBob was inappropriate for children. (I already covered that in "Guests say the darnedest things" tho) And my seatmate also being down bad for the alien leader on FoF.

I have multiple "crazy" stories from my local mall, including when one of the mascots fell on a group of children at Jeepers.

Watching someone argue with roller coaster enthusiasts on a behind-the-scenes tour of The Racer was something else — insisting they were taking photos of a water tower, not a water tank. The enthusiasts tried to explain the difference: towers use gravity to create pressure, while tanks typically rely on pumps. But the response they got was the classic “because I said so” authority stance.

When a family of 6 or 7 wanted to get into a cart on Boo Blasters On Boo Hill... and obviously that would be too many people so they told the father that they would need more than one cart. But the father started cussing out the KI employee and making a scene and then dumped his pop cup everywhere (nearly get me). Behavior like that should not be tolerated and should be kicked out immediately. I think about this from time to time.

Working at Sweet Spot it was always interesting when people would try to come in as soon as the park opened. We would be in prepping in the morning and you would look over and see people knocking at the door or just trying to yank it open. It was like 10am chill out guys.

Funny how that sort of behavior leads to being kicked out and followed up with a trespassing violation in retail big box stores, but then this sort of behavior seems to get a pass while at an amusement park <_<

I really can't understand why grown adult humans resort to this sort of tantrum/bully behavior thinking it makes them appear better or know better than the literal employee running the ride...like chill out. It really ain't that deep. Not to mention, just upon visual inspection of the ride cars you can tell there is absolutely no way 6-7 people could fit in there both comfortably and safely but hey.

What's the most out of the ordinary thing you've seen when at the park?

I have two stories. One day, my boyfriend went to the top of the Eiffel Tower as a break from the coasters-- when an employee at the top pointed out to us that Firehawk was stuck on the lifthill and had been stuck for quite a while. Here's the kicker, they were facing to the sky on a sunny and HOT day in July. We watched them for awhile, and I remember watching employees climb the stairs on the hill and talking to the guests. It looked miserable!

Another time I watched an idiot jump the fence exiting The Beast to retrieve a plastic football that I assume he lost when the train left the station. I got a little panicky because he crossed under the track right when another train took out. He got the football, but got stuck behind the fence and had to have security get him.

What have you seen?

I rode Stealth (first version of the flying coaster at California Great America in summer 8 times in a row.  On the last ride we got stuck on the return station area in the sun.  California afternoon and it was 90 + degrees.    That was hot.
