BoddaH1994
Hey, Bill and I decided that we wanted to show our thanks to the people and things that made PKI great in 2004. Click here to see PKIC's new video showcase area, feature two new films: We have a Flyers tribute video by Zosobeast and an End of Season video by your truely. Let us know what you think! familyman
It could be usere error but when I click on a link to watch the videos I get a page with computer codes. Any thoughts?
BoddaH1994
Right click and go to "save as" and you should be able to download it that way.
fyrfyter
Negative, that doesn't work either, it thinks the link is a text document. Maybe, a link that immediately opens an http download save window would be good?
PKIDelirium
Hmm, i get the same problem in FireFox
BoddaH1994
We're working on a solution to this. Most people I've talked to have said the "save target as" option on the right-click menu would do it for them.
TheRickster
When I had a older version of mozilla it would do that. Id just download it and when it got on the disc it would be a video file. Id try just dling it anyway.
ZosoBeast
I use Firefox. Right click on the window and choose "Save Link As" Has always worked for me.
BoddaH1994
2004 End of Season Tribute video Flying Eagles: Last Flight Do these work for ya? If you click on them, they're going to want to stream. They'll take a while to buffer since they're not exactly small. If you right click and go to "save target as" you should be able to save it. shadow2k3
I liked the Season Tribute. Almost brought a tear to me eye...lol. Kinda makes people long for PKI more. Ah well.. paitence is a virtue. Downloading the Eagles tribute as we speak. ~S~
DeliriumDreamer
The original script worked for me, and I didn't have to download it into my hard drive. The eagles video was pretty cool- it even shows our last few desperate attempts to save the ride.
PKI_Diana
I enjoyed them both. Thanks Bill, Dane and Ryan for your efforts. Oh, and I watched the video where ya'll harassed my speech in the elevator too! Meanies!
standbyme
I enjoyed the Look Back At 2004 very much....good choice for music. For a split second when you have the shot of the train coming into the station I didn't realize that you had the footage sped up and I was thinking "My God i've never seen the train pull in that fast! Great Job!
shadow2k3
Yeah, the Train speed threw me off too. If it really went that fast, it would probably derail. But we all know it will never go that fast. ~S~
familyman
Right clicking worked for me. I guess that’s one of the draw backs to using firefox. Great job on the videos. Does anyone have any videos while actually on the coasters?
BoddaH1994
I'm glad that you guys enjoyed the videos. Bill and I have been discussing plans for PKIC on the media side for about a month now and we decided that videos are going to be a significant part of our 2005 season. I really want to make a video next year that includes all of the employees who post on the site, so I'll have to grab the camera and find all of you! I have an Eagles tribute video of my own, but elected not to upload it because I didn't want to have Eagles overkill! If you are interested in seeing it, just IM me (AIM name is the same as my name on here) and I'll be more than willing to send it to you. If there's any kind of demand, we'll just put it on the site. In the meantime, check out Zoso's tribute video! Ryan

UncleHenry
Yeah, PKIDelirium should know all of the rules considering video at PKI. ORV's are not permitted at PKI.
DeliriumDreamer
^yeah, sneaking it past the 'bar monkeys' doesn't make the situation any better.
Vortex
I was looking on the Video page and saw that the Flight Commander Video was gone. Will this be put back on the page or did you need room for the other videos? History Of Kings Island group.

ZosoBeast
Thanks for all the kind words when it comes to our videos. I have been working on that eagles video a little at a time, tweaking it so the timing was right and such. I got it done the day before PKIC V3 went live....JUST in time! Other thoughts that have crossed my mind: I have the complete "final" ride on tape. (yeah, I know it wasnt the FINAL final since alot of you employees were getting ready for your ride as we were walking away) Was wondering if there was any interest in this? It is standing from one spot, a little shaky since I was cold. But still, it is history. PLUS, it features our very own Ryan in the #7 tub as well! As for the elevator video. I was nervous as heck making it, but in the end, I was sure glad that I did! it pretty much summed up the entire 2004 season for me in just that quick minute or two. I have been to the park many times before, but the 2004 season was the absolute best for me! Thanks for the memories and here is to a GREAT 2005 season! /sappy /NEEEEAAAAAHHHH I LIKE The Beast! familyman
lol. I guess that would make sense. Doesnt mean it doesnt happen. But I am sure getting smacked in the melon with a camera someone let would irk me a little.
KIBeast
Yeah, I think not only do the parks frown upon taking cameras on rides, but their insurance companies as well. That is a huge liability and a lawsuit potential. Way back in the early years of PKI, before The Beast, my uncle took a camera on The Racers. This was before the parks didn't allow that kind of thing. Turns out the footage was not all that great since it's hard to hold a camera steady and ride. He has it on 8mm film, I believe. The only way I can even watch it is on a reel to reel.
