BoddaH1994
As most of you know, the great marketing team was gracious enough to open the doors of the park to allow us inside to check out the progress of the Italian Job Stunt Track! Of course, PKIC is the first to update with photos from this event. Click here to see IJST construction as well as winter rehab pics! Bill has also created a video from the tour and it can be viewed here. Regards, Ryan

TheKlockster
Some of us were wondering what the SOFCO truck was doing there. SOFCO is the place in Batavia that makes B&M roller coasters. However, I just now remembered that SOFCO does a lot of steel fabrication - not just B&Ms. They most likely fabricated the structural steel for the parking garage. It kind of had me wondering for a minute!
KIBeast
So, is the Ryan in the pics you, boddah? Glad to see a good bit of this coaster has arrived. Can't wait to see more updates.
Vortex
Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like PCW is a head of PKI building the IJ coaster. PKI leaves alot of things out in the winter.
HabloRM
I really didn't miss anything. The park looks the same at the time I left it. O well. I'll see it tomorrow.
Captain Picard
Well did they say anything new that we didn't know?
PKIDelirium
Nope, except that the track is INDEED BLACK!
UncleHenry
Actually, Jeff did say something new! The cars will "skid" out of control around turns. I guess the cars will be on a separate thing that will be able to rotate a bit around turns to accomplish this effect.
PKIDelirium
Shoot, I forgot about that! But I still want to know more about the stair effect.
SOB_TOM
Most likely the seats will be up on transducers and small cylinders, just like Action Theatre.

PKI_Diana
I'm still not impressed.
ZosoBeast
I'm still not impressed. Who else thinks that PKI_DIANA should have stayed home today?
DeliriumDreamer
I would like to see more before passing judgement... and, for those who don't know, I AM in Atlanta right now, I'm just on a free internet cafe...place... it's cool. I unfourtunately won't be seeing SFOG, because it's too far away, but I will try to keep you posted in case we drive by or any thing like that. SOB_TOM
Thanks for your support Hablo. I think you might be the only one that understands...
Delirium13
Nice Pictures. Thanks for the update.
TheKlockster
Well, if the cars are on some sort of mechanism that allows them to skid out of control, then is it possible that the same mechanism is what allows for the star effect? PKIDelirium
Yeah, that's the impression I got.
King Bowser
Great pictures looks like the IJ:ST will be one great coaster thats good on the eyes & fun to ride once they git-r-done.
familyman
That was one cold tour. I am surprised that nobody mentioned the speakers that are going to be inside the cars. They also mention three were going to be something under the seats that will rumble. Now if that doesn’t impress you I don’t know what will. It was too bad we didn’t make plans to get together as a group and take a photo. I had no clue who anyone was.
Dane
I have just put up Bills video. It can be viewed here.
Vortex
I just hope PKI does do a rush job like SOB and look how that turned out.
Ryan
When you say thing under the seats that rumbles, do you mean like the whole time, like the engine, when the car's accelerating, or are you referring to the bumps on the staircase?
Dane
When the engine is revving, sliding, going down stairs. There is a subwoofer mounted under the seats for the sound feel. The staircase effect may by done by something stronger.
CoastersRZ
I wonder what exact changes they are doing to the parking lot and entrance area. New blacktop in the parking lot, in addition to the landscaping the park is adding?
SOB_TOM
I highly doubt its just a sub. You wouldnt feel it unless it was turned up extremely high, then those would eventually blow. Not happy.
PKIDelirium
I wonder what exact changes they are doing to the parking lot and entrance area. New blacktop in the parking lot, in addition to the landscaping the park is adding? That's exactly what I thought. What exactly is a "Disneyesque" parking lot?
Dane
In my travels to Disney World. The parking lots had alot of Palm trees in it, with flowers in little islands.
familyman
I’ll tell you one thing they need to add. More entrances for strollers and people with disabilities.
