I for one grew up with both versions of this ride and even though I SINCERELY hope for a new Phantom Theater ride, I also acknowledge that I have a fondness for both these rides, this is a place to discuss fond memories of Scooby and Boo.
My favorite memory of Scooby is riding it with my brother, sister and mom and feeling totally like I was in a episode of Scooby Doo, As for Boo Blasters I will miss the ride as it was one of the only things me and my dad have ridden together as he has rarely visited KI since the 2000s and he rode it with me during winter fest when it was about 10 degrees In the building! I grew up with both these rides and will miss them, please share any favorite memories of either incarnation of Boo Blasters or Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle!

A couple photos I found of me and my next door neighbor at the time in the Mystery Machine prop they had out front of the ride. This was sometime in 2008. I remember bc I remember my dad pointing out the construction for what became Diamondback. I believe this was her first ever visit to KI and it wasn't too long after they moved into the house next door. We would then go on multiple trips to KI together before they moved away in 2011.

I loved the Scooby-Doo theming for I am a huge Scooby-Doo fan, was disappointed when Scooby-Doo was removed for Boo Blasters, I remember waiting in line and hearing the Scooby-Doo music in the que and the Scooby-Doo themes outside the ride. "LIKE DON'T CHICKEN OUT NOW, GET YOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS READY, SCOOBY-DOO AND I ARE COUNTING ON YOU!"

This is a picture of my little sister, niece, and I standing next to Scooby-Doo.

I went to KI for the first time in 2020, so I never experienced Scooby-Doo. Boo Blasters was good for what it was, but wasn't my favorite by any means. A good ride to escape the heat, but I had one problem with it. If the targets and guns worked, the ride would be much better

I rode Scooby Doo only once and don't have much but a few flashes of memories from it. Boo Blaster was always a part of my childhood and while it's been in really rough shape recently, I have enjoyed it for what it is. My favorite story was standing in line for it during winterfest, the couple Infront of us got into an argument about what ride had previously been in the building. The husband said "hey didn't this ride used to be the outer limits?" And the wife said "No that's on the other side of the park. I think this was tomb raider" and the husband replied "No, tomb raider was at Universal"

I rode once when it was Scooby-Doo. I faintly remember it but mostly remember Shaggy telling me how to use the fright lights/blasters as I waited in line.

Once it became Boo Blasters, I didn't ride it for years because it was not Scooby-Doo. Then I started riding it once in a while, then more often once Winterfest came back. And then I transferred to Tech Services where I would begin checking in the blasters on the mornings the park was open.

From Winterfest 2019 all the way up to its last day this past Monday, Boo Blasters' startup constituted my morning routine. I learned exactly how the blasters worked (and they DID work, at least most of the time ;)) and gained experience with pneumatics as I also helped take care of the animation, as well as audio with the many sound effects. My favorite calls would come from Boo Blasters for blasters or displays, as it meant I could test ride and even fix it on the spot if I had what I needed on hand. My coworkers and I believe it's haunted as we've had unexplainable little playful things happen while we're there. In fact, every time we went to do our startup, we would say "good morning Boo!" If I did startup alone, I would "chat" with Boo since I think out loud and am proud of it. If there really is some sort of spirit or ghost taking up residence in that building, I 100% believe we would be friends.

After becoming the last person to ever check in the blasters on Monday, I had a literal blast on the best last seven rides I could ever ask for with my friends. Our competitive spirit and their blaming me for stealing points (because they don't work in Tech Services :P) coupled bittersweetly with seeing and hearing for the last time the same effects on which I've helped work.

While I eagerly look forward to this long-overdue next era of our dark ride, I am still grieving Boo Blasters which is perfectly okay. How could I not grieve Boo when it was my morning routine for six seasons?

1 ride as Scooby-Doo

242 rides as Boo Blasters

Hopefully many more rides as Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare!

I had just found out the trick where you can hold down the trigger to not having to keep pressing it.  My scores doubled.  The ride stunk.  Cardboard cutouts with non-working blasters.  The kids liked it though and for them I'm glad the "blasting" part is staying.  My first few ride will be just observering though.
