TOPGUN1993
If The Beastie is going to be pink someone could take a picture of it and post it because The Beastie top hill can be seen from the parking lot and the road.
VortexQueen
If you have been to Paramont's Carowinds, first of all that is where the screeching eagles are located now as danny phantom, but anyways<> their NC is ok; the carousel is terrible, orange and green and ugh... but they have a fairly odd parents coaster, since PKI had the original scooby, when paramount bought all the parks including PKI they named the scooby coaster beastie, as for all the rest of the parks so they were all the classic designs for "kiddy" coasters. but i think when paramount makes all the parks NC style kiddy land then all The Beastie style coasters will probably be NC style... NC= nick centeral. p.s. sice when did The Beastie have pedals?! nvm u started a new topic XD silly me. and hanna barbara land will become all nick, no more scooby, i have a last picture with scooby. lol he was dancing to christmas music at winterfest, i <3 scooby and miss him/ or her whoever was in the costume XD. Okay Scooby Doo is the only HB character that will remain in Nick Universe because Scooby is still under contract until 2013 or somthing like that so you will have plenty of time to visit scooby doo...The Beastie is rumored to get a Fairly Oddparents theme. WooferBearATL
Scooby Coaster was renamed and rethemed to The Beastie prior to the Paramount acquisition.
RollerNut
Only our trains are Fairly OddParents colors, the ride structure kept it's Animation Station colors(purple and yellow). BTW, the rights to Scooby-Doo and all of the HB cartoons are never ending.
CoastersRZ
As I understand it, the HB license Paramount has for HB characters expires in 2009. However, I`m not sure how accurate that is. However, Paramount has a seperate license for the Scooby ride through Sally Dark Rides, the company that made all the sets for SDatHC. RollerNut
http://timelines.home.insightbb.com/taft.htm 1984, read the purple.
WooferBearATL
The only error I see in the timeline is that Kings Island is sold to Carl Lindner's American Financial Corporation in I believe it was 1988.
RollerNut
Well, no timeline(or anything else) is perfect. If you notice PGA doesn't have the rights because PGA wasn't theirs at the time(1989).
King Bowser
BTW, the rights to Scooby-Doo and all of the HB cartoons are never ending. Yes they are they end in 2009 from what I've read but CoastersRZ is right scoobys rights are on another contract.
Gordon Bombay
^King Bowser, any ocnfirmation yet as to when the scooby rights end? If sally dark rides has the rights to scooby wont KI just keep him around untill they decide to re-theme the ride?
King Bowser
^ When I worked at PKI this past year I was told that Scooby Doos right end in 2013 but I'm sure PKI could always pull out and retheme the haunted castle whenever they feel the need. AamieAndShawn
As sad as it is to say it, it's time for HBL to be re-themed. Although I grew up with the HBL characters, most of today's kids don't know who Huckleberry Hound, JabberJaws, or--gasp!--even Fred Flinstone is. I think a new look and complete overhaul to HBL/NC would be a really cool, exciting thing. Get some quality family rides in there, some good, fun kids shows and just really make it into a section just as fun as AZ or Rivertown. Although I would love to see PKI get some new thrill rides, I think that seeing what updates could be done to the family portion of the park will be really exciting! Well as much I hate to say it the characters we grew up to love are outdated in thier eyes ,except for Scooby Doo thank god hes ageless . Kids arnt watching reruns of the Flintstones or Yogi Bear like we did . Its Spounge Bob, Dora, The Thornberry's, and Blues Clues. I dont like any of these except for Spounge Bob Im still trying to find out more about the Crusty Crabs
