teenageninja
Pop is what people on the East Coast like to call SODA or SODA POP.
BoddaH1994
Ha... I don't even say pop... it's all Coke to me. I was just paraphrasing what CoastersRZ wrote to me.
kjkjkj
so when your done with the construction tour do you have to be an ACEr to go up into the IR and eat pezza lol and pop?
RingMaster
Pop is what people on the East Coast like to call SODA or SODA POP. .....What do they call pop on the west coast then? Fountain drinks?
The Interpreter
The folks at Pepsi Cola will not be amused if you call their product Coke. And if you do in a public forum, and they can find you, they will even send you a strongly worded cease and desist order! I know it sounds silly, but it's true! WooferBearATL
What is pop? What they mean is Coke. It's a Yankee thing. They have all kinds of funny words for things. <G>
jzarley
Cool...so the construction tour is on a Saturday? I've never been able to make any of them before since they've always been on a weekday, and there wasn't enough time after work to drive down from Columbus. The tour is open to anyone, right--not just ACEr's? And, Woofer...Yankees use funny words? I lived in Texas for three years, and they were always "fixin" things ("I'm fixin to go to Six Flags", "I'm fixin to drink a Coke")
flightoffear1996
Yea its nice that it is on a Saturday afternoon but this time you got to pay for it.

WooferBearATL
oh well I wont be going besides I dont want to see my beloved HBL all rethemed to nick anyway I think I'll go 4X4'in instead. Well there's always hopes that the new owners will concentrate less on Nickelodeon and more on the likes of Hanna Barbera. Heck, doesn't anyone else think that it's odd that a Hanna Barbeara film is coming to the parks when the concentration is supposed to be going away from that theme? teenageninja
It has nothing to do with the new owners, we have no new owners. They wanted to replace Sponge Bob/ have another movie in Action Theatre, and this is a well done film from what I've heard. Plus this is one 5 minute ride, not a whole area of the park. This is a ride the parents are going to want to ride while they are in the back of the park.

No more so than the fact that it was a major attraction at USF for years, and they had no other HB attractions or any other association with HB. From Paramount's perspective this is a good way to put in a "new" attraction pretty cheaply (no development costs...). I found this kind of cool page written by the guy who did the original programming: http://www.trudang.com/simulatr/hbsim.html

Southern Ohio region members are espeically encouraged to attend and get involved in CoasterCon planning." Hopefully everyone means everyone. Gordon Bombay
I will be wearing a fedoara and bringing a bull whip, should any Acers comit false advertising and not let us join in their fun, then I'll have to give them a preveiw of the movie! TheKlockster
Pizza, Pop, and Grrrrrrrrravy! A fedora and bull whip. Thats either Indiana Jones and the ACErs of the lost park - or a really demented pr0n film. Yeah I think it will be alot of fun - if the public attends. Surely there won't be that many ACErs there that they can't invite the public.

UncleHenry
I was a guest speaker at this event last year (showed the HQ versions of my early RCT3 videos). I have a new DVD of ALL of my videos in their high quality version. I might be able to make copies if people want, but it'll cost ya! gburn07
Lol I didn't read through all the replies to this topic, but earlier on in this people talked about what pop is lol. If you come to Pittsburgh, where I live, you will be amazed at our 'language' here. Not a soul here calls pop ..soda. One of the few areas. But its not like you haters of Pittsburgh even care How bout them Stillers
The Interpreter
I don't hate Pittsburgh! How could I possibly? I don't even think Kenny would.
tubaman
Can I borrow 8 bucks? And I'll need a ride too. And I'll need to join ACE. And the Stilers rock.
CoastersNSich
I don't hate Pittsburgh! How could I possibly? I don't even think Kenny would. Until this fall, let's be nice and get to better know our Western Pennsylvania neighbors. Besides Kennywood, check out the inclines for a great panoramic view of the city, get lost in the huge Kaufmann's store, or see a Pirates game at PNC Park.* *Preferably when they play better teams like the Reds or Cardinals.
