Reclaimer
While it's kind of plain...I still love it! Why do I love it? The horrid mountain is GONE Welcome to '07, *Kings Island*
Reality15
Part of me thinks that's just a temporary logo, at least the top icon. Reason being is that is the same icon that the Cedar Fair uses.

Reclaimer
I was kind of thinking that as well. I doubt they'd use the Cedar Fair logo. Who knows, that may be what the passes really look like come April. The spot where the CF logo is could just be where the pass-holder's picture is. (If they go back to using pictures on passes)
Gordon Bombay
How is that the Kings Island logo? I doubt they'd use the Cedar Fair symbol with the name anywhere besides the pass, none of the other parks do this.
BoddaH1994
Isn't that the logo they've always used for the maxx pass?
Gordon Bombay
^No, they were advertising the KI maxx pass with the Paramount logo and the film reel like the old one, but what that site is linked to is the way they are looking for other parks as well. 2oo64ever
a little off topic but on the Kings Island website if you look into the "live show" they still have STAR SEARCH LIVE on there. So does it mean they are going to have that show back for the next season?
CoastersNSich
I wish they had brought back the one from 1972-92, but I'll take it. They gave the Paramount symbol a pink slip, that's what matters...
Reclaimer
They haven't really updated anything attraction-wise for next season yet...other than the slight SoB "loopless" edit they made today.
PKIDelirium
These are probably just "temporary" fixes while they develop the new CF style sites for the Paramount Parks.
Mikewhy
I also would have preferred the older logo from before Paramount. But this one is not bad if it is the real one. But I agree with the others who think it is a temporary thing. We shall see!

KI-ORIG-EMP
I wish they had brought back the one from 1972-92, but I'll take it. They gave the Paramount symbol a pink slip, that's what matters... I also think that the original logo from 1972 should had been brougt back. But who knows, that still might happen. I am sure the marketing people are looking at the design that will have a name recognition that people can identify with. We will know something is going on when they begin to change the PKI web site with a new logo and change the sign out front. Mike
The Interpreter
Cedar Fair didn't buy Kings Island to bring back the pre-Paramount days. Cedar Fair bought Kings Island to integrate the best parts of both Paramount Parks and Cedar Fair into a new, vibrant Cedar Fair. Those who expect a return to the pre-Paramount Kings Island are going to be sorely disappointed. It's 2007, not 1992.

Those who expect a return to the pre-Paramount Kings Island are going to be sorely disappointed. It's 2007, not 1992. The older logo is much better than the one that is on the pki web site. That logo (if it is the offical logo) is too plain and does not add character. Things really went down hill for KI when Paramount took over. I think better days are here now that Cedar Fair took over. Mike
The Interpreter
I am old. I wasn't fond of Mr. Lindner's days at Kings Island. You see, I remember how thrilled I was that Paramount Communications had bought the park, and re-united it with the other KECO parks. I expected great synergy from a movie company owning theme parks (see Disney, for example). I expected a place where the magic of the movies would meet the thrills of a lifetime, where all the thrills would be paramount. And for a while, we got exactly that. For me, at least, the jury is still out with Cedar Fair. I hope they do great things for Kings Island and for the other Paramount Parks. I know they are better stewards for the parks than CBS was proving to be.
PKIVortex
I think Cedar Fair will be good for KI and the rest of the old Paramount Parks. I have a feeling this season will be one of the best at KI.
CoastersRZ
As others have said, this "logo" that is on the season pass page is likely still temporary and not the finalized new logo for Kings Island. But it is worth noting that both the Paramount name is gone, as is any reference to movies, aka the filmstrip across the temporary passes they gave out in September and October. Also of note, is that Kings Island is the only Paramount Park that has updated with new season pass images. As the park begins to prepare for its 35th anniversary year in the coming months, we are likely to learn some more things about how exactly Cedar Fair plans to run Kings Island. Reon
Its okay, but it definately bears a strong resemblance to the Maxx Pass logo. So, now that the new logo is released, what about the new ride anouncement?
