@Oldiesmann has shared that a lot of the rides this evening had high wait times and he waited longer than the posted time for Mystic Timbers.

Offering it now, if the park uses AI for anything related to Phantom Theater, I will personally redraw it free of charge

I'd love to see this kind of facade come to either the Boo Blasters building and/or to The Crypt's building. Both of them would need to have some extensive work done to look like this, but it would look so good. I feel like the biggest hang up from this concept art to what became PT was the addition to the building (with the posters in front of it). It would be a good place for some additional queue line and/or a much-needed addition of space for the Peanuts Showplace. Whatever we end up seeing, I really hope there aren't any AI posters or artwork. AlpenFury has AI all over its indoor queue and it looks bad.

I honestly would love that! The purple castle that was originally used for Scooby-Doo has been an eyesore...
-
When it comes to dressing up the exterior of the building, I'd like to see them attempt to make it like this old original concept art
-
Yes honestly this is the best teaser Kings Island has given us since Mystic Timbers, I'm actually not sure what the next part of the teaser is going to be.

I’m starting to get the idea that you don’t enter the conjuring through the normal crypt building entrance, and they’re making a path available for the side of the building that faces slaughterhouse and you’ll enter through the bay doors over there instead. Since the indoor theming doesn’t go with conjuring that they’ve had since the crypt. That way then you don’t have to go up and down the stairs either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve listened to it like 100 times, I can barely hear “So you wanted to see the theater did ya?” in the static (mostly listening for like syllables). But it might just be nonsense because anything else is a stretch. I’ve never seen any of the Conjuring movies so idk if wind chimes have any significance, but a lot of the Maestro’s dialogue in the original attraction references like portals to another world. “You have entered our world, now escape if you can!” Honestly I love the fact that there’s a teaser campaign that isn’t just “Phantom Theater’s coming back to Boo Blasters”. As of yesterday there’s apparently more construction walls outside of the Tomb Raider building, which makes me even more confused. I’m still sticking to my theory that PT goes in Boo Blasters as a flashlight shooting ride, and nothing goes into Tomb Raider, but the fact that I’m not sure about that is so interesting to me.

I went to KI for the first time in 2020, so I never experienced Scooby-Doo. Boo Blasters was good for what it was, but wasn't my favorite by any means. A good ride to escape the heat, but I had one problem with it. If the targets and guns worked, the ride would be much better
-
Rumors say that it has something to do with the Conjuring Haunt attraction which is said to be in the old Crypt building. But honestly I'm not sure...

Lol that is especially funny because I've heard the exact same thing when someone said it about Iron Dragon, but I have seen a turtle in there before.

Up at Cedar Point last weekend, we were riding the train going past the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. The guy in front of us looks over at the water next to us, and looks up and asks the guy next to him, "Did you see that? I just saw an alligator in the water?" He as 100% serious.

There was a "horde" that I seemed to be just in front of all night. Same expereice - I'd ride with little wait, get off and see double the line. Help in my favor till I somehow got out of order and they got in front of me and the short line for ORION shot up to 40 min.
-
I loved the Scooby-Doo theming for I am a huge Scooby-Doo fan, was disappointed when Scooby-Doo was removed for Boo Blasters, I remember waiting in line and hearing the Scooby-Doo music in the que and the Scooby-Doo themes outside the ride. "LIKE DON'T CHICKEN OUT NOW, GET YOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS READY, SCOOBY-DOO AND I ARE COUNTING ON YOU!" This is a picture of my little sister, niece, and I standing next to Scooby-Doo.

Really great teaser they released! In reflection, I see the obvious reference to the queue music, the cartoon Maestro, and the cat. The video also focuses in on a BB cutout that says something to the effect of "not dead yet." The radio static reminds me of Mystic Timbers. Any significance with the wind chimes in the transition scene?

I recently joined a new (to me) KI Facebook group and it is full of some wild theories. Ideas not based anywhere near the current reality run rampant and many things with circumstantial evidence are taken as 100% fact. It's harmless, but I found it interesting to see what's said in there. I like to see what people are talking about and this has been a funny way to see more.

The Bat had a station wait tonight and all of the other coasters appeared to have short waits whenever I looked. Oddly enough, my train on The Bat was almost a zen ride but as soon as we got back in the station there seemed to be a horde of people in line.

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
Losantiville Mining Co. replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
Construction fences have gone up around the former Axe, Axe, Baby game in Rivertown. Could they be for something new or are they just part of mid-season work in the park? They had the entire back wall of the booth (and I believe the fences up front) taken down with a pathway-sized clearing through the foliage heading back under Diamondback's helix. Some blue paint markings also indicated the location of a potable water pipe next to a lamp post. I'm interested to see if this could become either a new thing for Haunt or maybe even a new entrance area for The Conjuring: Beyond Fear. It would certainly help get around a need to retheme the indoor queue area and may entirely remove the need for an elevator to be used. The attraction is advertised as being accessible, so I'd assume that includes the entrance to it. It could just be August maintenance. Fun to think about either way. -
As do bankruptcy lawyers! I wouldn't be opposed to more competition between Kings Island and Cedar Point, even if it's from within the same chain. Either way, this may be a conversation for another extant topic altogether.

A couple photos I found of me and my next door neighbor at the time in the Mystery Machine prop they had out front of the ride. This was sometime in 2008. I remember bc I remember my dad pointing out the construction for what became Diamondback. I believe this was her first ever visit to KI and it wasn't too long after they moved into the house next door. We would then go on multiple trips to KI together before they moved away in 2011.

I for one grew up with both versions of this ride and even though I SINCERELY hope for a new Phantom Theater ride, I also acknowledge that I have a fondness for both these rides, this is a place to discuss fond memories of Scooby and Boo. My favorite memory of Scooby is riding it with my brother, sister and mom and feeling totally like I was in a episode of Scooby Doo, As for Boo Blasters I will miss the ride as it was one of the only things me and my dad have ridden together as he has rarely visited KI since the 2000s and he rode it with me during winter fest when it was about 10 degrees In the building! I grew up with both these rides and will miss them, please share any favorite memories of either incarnation of Boo Blasters or Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle!
