I doubt they would take the mini-Eiffel Towers out of the Gardens for this event? Maybe they have had a better than planned start to the year and added this last minute? Or maybe it was a placeholder that just go approved? Maybe they redirected funds from one event or department to another? It could be anything, but I would rather see them add events than take things away!

Not necessarily a complaint that the announced it...seems like an odd thing for the park to use labor costs to set up everything they needed to in Tower Gardens to close it a few weeks after opening day when they are already cutting things due to budget. Sorry if it seems as if I'm nitpicking everything, I really am trying not to. Heck, I showed up to the park opening day after I previously decided to not go to KI this year. I really want the best for KI and am constantly trying to understand the reasoning behind a lot of things, especially when decisions are made because "budget" but then they do something that just doesn't make sense in terms of budget.

Would have been nice, but that was going to be very hard to accomplish considering the time frame between cycle counts, certification and training.

Is TT2 not the first application of the Lightning trains? Prototypes are gonna prototype, I'll be happy to ride Top Thrill 2.1 when it opens.

Using a name that immediately calls to mind Disney’s well regarded event. Pretty gutsy move for a company that tends to fall well short of Disney quality.

They'll probably announce that closer to the start of the event. If I were to guess they'll have booths spread out with some in tower gardens and some around the tower and maybe some around the floral clock area. The entertainment and other activities if I were to guess will take place in the grass area near Diamondback's brake shed. I believe when they did the Brewfest years ago they would set up a stage near Diamondback's brake shed.

I thought they would’ve tried to get it open for the ACE event. Kind of a miss. Still pumped to check it out!

I guess now we know why Tower Gardens is temporarily closed. Although the description on the KI website is fairly generic at this point. Doesn`t describe pricing, what food and wine will be available or what entertainment. This event is only going to occur Friday through Sunday.

Now if you could just get your saloon and beer/BBQ festival!
