  1. The merger with Albertsons fell through because of the government that was in charge at the time blocked it. That same government was in charge when the CF, SF merger happened so I don’t think anything would have changed. But honestly the guest experience was already degrading within CF prior to the merge. Zimmer and co’s cheap passes and add-ons with hopes to make up in volume. On-top of the ripple effects from covid, ultimately caused a desperate move such as a merger with SF to be conceived, to begin with. Next year, I think a lot of people when they go to renew will be in shock with, what it appears to be the chain trying to “market correct” the pricing of season passes and add ons. From what I have seen it will be harsh.
  2. As far as I’m concerned Tony’s time as regional PR has been nothing more than a “morning flush”. 💩
  3. ACE hosted an event last year at KI… ERscream.
  4. I’ve been completely disappointed with the ticketed events this year at KI. No Coaster-stock, no Mother’s Day brunch, no ticketed events to replace the aforementioned. I wouldn’t be shocked if the NYE at the international restaurant follows suit. Who knew copying and pasting a ticketed event from the year prior proved to be so difficult. I was looking forward to having Tony Clark as our Regional PR person but so far I’ve been totally disappointed. He, so far has been worse than his predecessor. Both him and his predecessor at KI are/were never around so that hasn’t changed but at least his predecessor put on some ticketed events.
  5. The highest I could find as of recent was Guardian’s of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at Epcot. Attendance for Epcot increased the following year it opened by 19.8%!
  6. I’ve quit riding after I’ve heard about all the restraints coming loose issues..
  7. I want to say the fountain issues became very noticeable during the 2023 season. The pre-merge "lets pad the books" type of cuts. And they haven't recovered since. I don't agree with returning to the old pedestal fountains, those were dated and honestly with the budget cuts the pedestal fountains would likely have issues too.
  8. And this is why I have stated before that a Phantom Theatre revival would not be a good fit in its current location.
  9. Now KI should get one in the old Vortex spot. A Kenton’s Cove Keelboat Canal revival!
  10. This is the second time I've seen Brad Ross's show. The first time being at Carowinds a couple years ago. The first time I watched it at Kings Island a couple of the tricks got botched. One being the hanging glass bottle with "champaign" being poured into it. You could clearly see the line with hook retract back into the bottle. Another being one of the boxes were one the assistants get into the box then vanishes. When she returned you could clearly see the top of her hair when she crawled back into the box. The show wasn't as entertaining from what I remembered from Carowinds. Both of my friends I was with who were also watching it for the first time feel asleep during the show.
  11. I think it’s unrealistic to expect everything to be 100%, 100% of the time. Minor imperfections are always noticeable to those who frequently visit.
  12. It’s not much different than being on a payment plan for the pass and add ons. Breaking up the overall cost of a pass with add ons makes season passes even more affordable than they already are. However, include all season Fast Lane for an additional $1200+ to the overall cost of the pass. Now payment plans become much more attractive. Especially at 0% APR. The confusion and complexity comes into play when they do last minute changes to pass perks and such. But, that’s been going on before this new membership.
  13. Also the edge trim for the stairs are peeling away. Today was my first time riding Phantom Theatre. The ride aspect and the theming within the ride itself felt fresh and new but the queue itself, more or less, got the “landlord special”.
  14. I haven't made my way to the point this season. (I plan on going June 2nd.) But I have heard they removed the brisket from Backbeat BBQ. That was my favorite restaurant and meal when visiting. The brisket was a well-known, fan favorite at CP. It's a shame they removed it due to budget cuts.
  15. There are plenty of choices since about every restaurant serves them: Goblin burgers, Hot Diggity Dog, Jungle Jake’s, Safari Pizza, Santa’s Merry Marketplace, and Wildebeestro… I usually get tenders in the Marketplace because there is A/C. **Holiday World
