  1. The 25th Anniversary...now we are approaching the 40th...time flys when you're having fun! I'm not a big fan of this cover...I think I know what the designer was going for, but to me this cover looks more like a swimming pool brochure than an amusement park brochure. I like this page a lot. Scooby Doo, Where Are You

  3. WOW. I must share this...I find it funny. http://www.kingsdomi...CFSgTNAodxE7UWQ For those who don't want to visit that site and look for this, here is what I read that was so funny: Things To Do Prepare to feel the presence that will make your senses come alive with excitement - a presence that goes beyond breathtaking views, beyond hair-raising adventures, beyond the awesome power of Beasts and Diamondbacks -- the presence of Kings Island. From the moment you enter, enchantment begins and the fun never ends. This would be fine for Kings Island, but this is on...Kings DOMINION'S web page. They need to fix this- they just copied Kings Island's page! (I checked Kings Island's site and yep, the exact same text!) And, to showcase how hilariously bad I think this is...

  4. I'm going to call Camden tomorrow and see whether or not they would tell me if there's going to be a new ride installed or not. I'm thinking that they might tell me since generally speaking, they don't really keep secret as to what's going on there like some of your larger parks; i.e. Cedar Point, Kings Island, or any of the Six Flags Parks. I'll post tomorrow whether they give me any information or not. At the very least, they may give me an official date of when they would make an announcement about a new attraction.

  6. Grab a copy of the book Goodbye, Coney Island, Goodbye by Paul Ilyinksy and Dick Perry. Among the numerous gems in that book is a two-page photo of Scrambler from the late 60s or early 70s.

  7. They'll probably show how the new Chevy Volt battery catches on fire - and how many pennies it would take to buy a new Corvette. Then again, they could roll out old Vegas and Chevettes to show how lousy they used to build cars compared to how lousy they build them now. Volares and Aspens could be included....no wait....that's Chrysler's mistake. Upon further thought, they could compare fires in the Volt with fires in the Pinto, just to prove that GM lets you survive in their fire. As my friend would say, I'm ate up.

  8. Camden Park floods. The site is far from level. And there is a Wal*Mart right across the river. The Big Bear store aka Harbor Freight in Ceredo would be a far better location, were Wal*Mart interested.

  9. The quote in question from Facebook: Am I a little bummed? Sure. Was I hoping this wouldn't be the case? Very much so. But it is what it is, and it's just one more thing to look forward to in 2013. (A trip to Holiday World to experience the Timberliners may now be how I celebrate graduating college. Ironically, experiencing The Voyage for the first time--and believing I'd lucked out to catch it in the weekend or two in 2010 in which it would still run PTCs--was how I celebrated graduating high school. Go figure!) The Voyage with PTCs, in my opinion, anyway, is still the best wooden coaster I've ever been on (especially in the back seat.) Some of its roughest parts have been completely rebuilt for this season. People like to attribute their distaste for PTC trains to this ride, but it's so insane that PTC cars literally can't handle it. 2012 will be a fantastic year for the ride, and I'd say that, if you want to experience The Voyage in its "original" magnitude before the Timberliners make their debut, this is the year to do it. Get there early, and get there often. (I've heard the coasters run best early in the season, before the new wood has worn... I can't say either way myself, as the latest I've gone in the season is July.)

  13. 1974. Not much left except for a walkthrough with potential but I believe not much is there. That tent looks nice, I never knew it was there. Thanks again Standbyme and Hendrick.

  14. What about the part where half the people on this forum read the thread name and get all excited about a potential new TR, huh?
