Quite amazing how your the only person to come on here and say you saw SOB collapse. I believe IF Sonny were collapsing KI would do something about it.2 points

Call me a rebel or old fashioned but i will never give in to purchasing a Fast Lane pass anywhere! IT IS NOTHING BUT GREED BY THE SELLER AND THE BUYER. I will wait in line with everyone else.Ive driven entire days to parks out of state only to ride a few rides cause of the lines its part of life but i will never pay someone to basically let me ditch people in line.YES,i can afford to buy them but what does this teach my children? Were gonna wait with everyone else thank you anyways.2 points

I think it will have no atmosphere change on the neighborhood, and I think it will have an incredibly minimal effect, if any, on drawing new customers in from the surrounding neighborhood. I do think it presents an influence on the actions of the guests that were going to be there anyway, and you can't promise that that influence will always be positive. I can't promise it will, with any frequency, be negative, but theme parks attract a wide range of folks.1 point

I haven't been on it in years, but back in the Paramount days, on Flight of Fear, that pause between when the alien hum stops and the ride op says "clear".... an eternity of anticipation!1 point

Right. It's like saying you refuse to go to the park at all because some people can't. Or you refuse to go to college because some people can't. Or you refuse to buy a Gold Pass because some people can't. Or you refuse to buy front-of-the-line passes because some people can't. Etc. etc. While in the park, some buy enormous, expensive meals for their entire family to better their experience and create better memories. Should they not do so because some visitors at the park can't afford it?1 point

Not really, you pay for the Gold Pass to get Parking, and ERT's and other benefits, you don't wait in like with the other guests then do you? No you go in to the park and enjoy the ERT on the rides. You PAY for that benefit, just like those pay for Fast Lane. (The way I see it, and In my opinion makes sense) EDIT: oh you were talking to terpy? Oh well, my point still stands.1 point

You hear the anti-rollbacks on Son of Beast? I understand. I see and hear in my mind many things that for others are unseen and unheard when I go to Kings Island, too. Memories. Either that or you are hearing the also loud anti-rollbacks on Flight Deck (or perhaps in your mind's ear, Top Gun).1 point

Eat as much Panda Express as humanly possible, and try to do the little things that aren't necessarily well-known but are very fun.1 point

You would be surprised, dare I say shocked, on how fast SoB could be up and running. I have mentioned this in the past (how could you miss it in 53 pages???? ) a local wood coaster (with the ENTIRE park) sat for a number of years literally untouched. This coaster is MUCH, MUCH older than SoB and was up and running within a couple months with donated money (less than $70,000 if memory serves) and still operates today. The biggest issue at start-up; finding a motor for the lift. http://www.rcdb.com/249.htm SOB won't need a motor - all the people who posted here that want this coaster re-opened will either push or pull the darn train up the hill (and the huffing and puffing involved could get to the same volume levels as the motor/chain lift did!)1 point

From the three Bass Pro Shops I have been to, two have been worthy to call attractions, one would was just a store. That happens to be the one in Cincinnati.1 point

Goodness, I hate to post this song: The fact it is way over rated but I always thought about my friend and me at King's Island. For some reason this song always plays in my mind when I think about me and the person going. . But here it is...1 point

I love that 1974 photo. I remember (albeit vaguely) how forested the area around KCKC was, and--even though I'm glad the park is what it is--I think I'd rather have that than The Crypt and Diamondback. Again, I'm loving this thread. Thanks (again), standbyme.1 point

I love this thread I always wanted to do something like this with Coney Island. Hopefully someone will be inspired by this thread and do the same down there1 point

That prediction is about as impressive as me predicting that there will be a new Son of Beast thread by tomorrow! Anyway here are a couple of signs I would like to see at the park:1 point
