It's a shame we get "these" people on here.. I'd love to know your source though. The fact that they're quick to tell you what's going on is amazing, though you actually believe this "person", probably a figment of your imagination is another story. Personally, I think you just like to come on random forums and be a pain. Kat is a well respected member of this forum and I'd be willing to bet my 401k that anything she hears, and repeats, is a whole lot more reliable than you.4 points

June 1. Current date by which Kochs can opt out. August 16. Date the Kochs have asked this be extended to. Lease in place? No. Final rides list? No. Perhaps the Kochs are beginning to realize the Herculean tasks in front of them. $13 million. Amount Kochs would borrow for first year operation. Pat Koch. One of the Kochs not a member of this business unit. Smart lady.2 points

Being obsessive complusive about FL has a rather good chance to ruin your day at the park.2 points

What's that phrase Terpy always says? Those who know, don't talk, and those who talk, don't know?1 point

I'd love to see a return of some kind with water. Rivertown really has lost touch with the original idea it was based off of. We lost the Mining Co area, Swan Lake, Beast Lake, KCKC, Kings Mills Log Flume (when the ride was originally park of Rivertown), the Back porch stage, The old west show during the train ride, and most importantly... trees. I really don't feel that "old water town" presence it once had.1 point

*sigh* The closest park using FastPass is almost a thousand miles away. Kings Island uses Fast Lane. The two terms are not interchangeable, and the two programs could not be more different.1 point

The state couldn't reach an agreement with Mr. Hart. Why would the Kochs? They can still opt out. I won't be a bit surprised if they do. And Pat Koch is one of the most brilliant people in the industry. She is an icon AND that. Her non-participation, a position the same as Mr. Hart's by the way, speaks volumes. I hear your frustration and understand, but this plan is ill conceived, has a high risk of failure and could seriously damage Holiday World as well. I am not even a little bit surprised the wise Pat Koch is not a part owner of the Bluegrass Boardwalk business unit. The Pat Koch I know and respect and admire would not aggressively pursue this business venture. I predict the Kochs will pull out of this soon. Ed Hart did.1 point

^I used to work over near there and often eat at The Waffle House down the street. Usually I drive by just to see if anything's going on down there. They still fly the American flag and the first weekend after they announced their closure, it was open for cars to drive into the parking lot. Seemed like their offices were open. As of late, nothing seems to be going on. A piece of their "Welcome to Paradise" sign fell down, they put it back up.1 point

Closed-circuit surveillance is your friend. Throwing objects of any kind at an occupied, moving vehicle constitutes assault. I hope they threw the book at... I mean, carefully opened the book and administered level, fair justice upon said miscreant.1 point

This is definitely just for show. I did a bit more research on this, because I was wondering why he filed the lawsuit in Hamilton County when The Beach is in Warren County. As it turns out, Mike DeWine's son Pat is a judge on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. In addition, Pat is running for a seat on the state's First District Court of Appeals this fall - the very same district which covers Hamilton County...1 point

The evening of opening day, this group of college students marathoned Adventure Express something like ten times in a row because of the nonexistent line. Towards the end of that marathon, they started yelling random things as the train left the station, such as "FOR NARNIA!" I'm pretty sure the ride op asked the people who finally entered the line a couple minutes before closing to get in line for their rows so they would leave. ...I may or may not have been one of said college students. Pretty sure that night was one of the best times I've had at KI in recent memory.1 point

Some of the craziest I've seen: Rehearsed, synchronized "overreaction" on Adventure Express by about 12 guys as it pulled out of the station. Same words, arm movements, etc. "Aaah! Make it stop! We're gonna die! Aaaaaaaaaah!" Dork in front car on same ride, reaching up with his finger and acting like he's getting a little sample of the "lava" bucket in the monkey temple. Yeah I call it the monkey temple. Whaddya gonna do about it? Choir kids (trying to) sing Train while riding the BLSC. ...("Hey, soul sister, ain't that 'Mister [launch] Mistoooooowwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!")1 point

^Well said. You don't. My point is that this thread has enough crap in it. We don't need yet another person playing "crystal ball reader."1 point

fact/fakt/ Noun: A thing that is indisputably the case. Information used as evidence or as part of a report or news article. Synonyms: reailty- deed - actuality - truth - case - circumstance This seems more appropriate: hear·say/ˈhi(ə)rˌsā/ Noun: Information received from other people that cannot be adequately substantiated; rumor. The report of another person's words by a witness, usually disallowed as evidence in a court of law. Synonyms: rumour - rumor - report - gossip - whisper - scuttlebutt Although if fact, how can it be a rumor? Just sayin'.1 point

Yeah. Why do half the people that go by not want to get wet? Hello! You're in a waterpark, people! Don't think using that empty tube as a shield is going to keep you dry.1 point

I do agree now that SC has a nice cool entrance, it does make the main entrance look a little dated. I am not sure why the perception is that they would have to tear down the existing building to change the look of the entrance. Now, I do think a new coat of paint (brighter color) and something cool built over the existing shingles would be nice. Honestly though, I only see that for a minute or so as I walk into the park. I am usually looking to see if DB, WS, DT, and Invertigo are testing and not really looking at the building. I am sure the GP is talking about their day and not really going, "Honey, they really need to redo this main entrance." If and when they do give it some attention, I can see it being redone with one or two of those LED billboards.1 point

A coaster whose authorized POVs look like they were filmed during a 7.4 aftershock certainly could use some creative re-tracking, for sure.1 point

The empty seats are a HUGE problem for the rides and the FL system. I agree, it is very frustrating to see car after car go up the hill on DB with 5,6, 7 empty seats. I think that the simple way to solve the issue is to have two or three rows, depending on crowd, reserved solely for FL riders, no more than that. If everyone else is waiting 90 minutes, FL riders can wait 10 or 15. And FILL UP THE CARS!1 point
