Just for the record, I think he was kidding. He said he wouldn't buy a coaster like that because it was too expensive and he didn't have enough room in his backyard. See, it's funny because he knew what you really meant, but made a joke because the question was vague. Ha.5 points

I'm willing to bet that's not your own picture. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26808-a-fun-newcomers-guide-to-the-kings-island/?fromsearch=1 First image. Please stop searching for images. It's really annoying.4 points

Are you being sarcastic, or have you not seen posts, and videos about Coasting for Kids? please ignore me. The last few days I have been sick and have been under the influence of Nyquil and Tusin DM. So I may have forgotten about the wonderful Coasting for Kids.... Honestly, my brain must have been in shut down mode when I wrote that...3 points

In 1982, I was working Reds games at Riverfront Stadium and one of the players, Cesar Cedeno, took himself out of the game in the fourth inning, claiming to be sick. I arrived at the park that evening around 6:00pm and got in line for The Racer and right in front of me is Cedeno with a couple of his friends. It was a Saturday night and the wait time was about 45 minutes, so I was able to chat with him a bit and learned that he liked amusement parks and roller coasters. When I asked him about leaving the game because he was sick, he said he was sick. Sick of new Reds manager Russ Nixon, who had taken over for John McNamara a few weeks earlier.3 points

Is there a rumor about that? I don't count the number of times I've ridden a ride ( unless it is 1 or 2, for obvious reasons ). That being said, for Beast the answer is not enough. Not yet, anyway. And hopefully not enough any time soon.2 points

Because my attempt to play professional baseball or hockey ended in a contract dispute. I wanted a contract but no team in either sport was willing to offer one. After realizing I wasn't going to play professionally, I wanted to work in professional sports (baseball, hockey, football) or the amusement/theme park industry and the things I was good at or had an aptitude for made PR/media relations a natural fit.2 points

In this case, I can see why each question that Don answers gets its own, separate reply. Multiple quotes, especially the way the new forum works, could quickly get messy. One should be honored that Don is answering, rather than quibble about how.2 points

2012- +/-30? 2011-143 2010-119 2009-43 2008-71 2007-35 2006-29 2005-18 2004-29 I've only made note of number of Beast rides. I think 2013 will be similar to 2010 & 20111 point

Gov. Bashear mentions the same things mentioned above ^ In an interview. http://www.wdrb.com/story/20396714/beshear-says-the-jury-is-out-on-possible-kentucky-kingdom-deal Both of those links are the exact same article; the only difference is that one is the mobile version and the other is the full-site version. One has a video, One doesn't. There was a reason why I posted it. Ah. I don't usually pay attention to videos, hence why I didn't notice that.1 point

I'd prefer an Intamin. Or GCI. I think a coaster like The Voyage might steal some of The Beast's fame. At least on the GP side. But I'd really be happy with any of them.1 point
-
But doesn't Holiday World have Voyage, and Six Flags Great Adventure has El Toro? What's unique about that?1 point
-
I know Intamin makes wooden roller coasters. I would be just as excited to see Intamin come in with a new wooden roller coaster the same way if Gravity Group were to come in and build another wooden roller coaster. Either one would be a big improvement over SOB. Plus since Cedar Point is up north, I think it would be neat for Kings Island to build something that Cedar Point doesn't have such as a Voyage or El Toro wooden roller coaster.1 point

And was something the park will talk about only if and when the time comes.1 point

When only one side keeps talking and talking and talking but the other side, which has a long history of braggadocio and boostering, is utterly silent, one must wonder if pressure is being applied to achieve a desired outcome.1 point

That's like saying the president doesn't have to obey laws. Does it say in the TOS that we have to use multi quote? EDIT: Just did a search of TOS. I see nowhere where is says multi quotes must be used. No laws have been broken, and we should be happy he is even interacting with us!1 point

Because he's Don, he doesn't have to! Or, perhaps he's posting from his mobile. Or, like me, he's stuck there!1 point

I thank you Don, for taking time out of your day to answer people's questions on KIC!1 point

No, because I don't have that kind of dough and my backyard isn't big enough to build a ride like that.1 point

Add jumping fountains and interactive water features to Tower Gardens and rid it of smoking.1 point

Negative attractions are not good for a park. See Superman: Tower of Power at Kentucky Kingdom, which may well have led to that park's closure.1 point

A positive and negative one. Never could get magnets to stay together if their both on positive or negative side.1 point

Inversion in a tunnel? Thats like a combination of what was, In some peoples opinion, the best feature of SOB plus one of the key features of The Beast. If that idea was actually done, That would be one heck of a ride...... maybe, in a good way..... or maybe in a bad way......1 point
-
Because Voyage has required very little unexpected maintenance or train changes, of course. New Cedar Fair management is very focused on return on investment over time, life cycle costs, and spectacular, large but not overly aggressive rides.1 point
-
Well I mean that is my favorite childhood coaster. And it's a PTC. I mean I wouldn't mind too much. Plus with two of them the wait would be very manageable.1 point

If a coaster is a coaster, you should be happy if the next new attraction is a clone of Woodstock Express. Terp, just sayin'1 point

Don told us on closing day that they have a special tool that can simply grip the exposed portion of the footing, twist it, and yank it right out. So, they have dentists on site now?1 point

Insert obligatory Interpreter reference to a big blue B&M at the Point. Which pretty much is true now, anyway.1 point
