  2. I still, I have said this before, would love to see "Jurassic Park River Adventure" at Kings Island. That would take some work though....

  6. I saw those episodes and wondered what park it was filmed at. I thought HRP was probably it. I thought it interesting because they were on their way to Philadelphia, and at the time of those episodes they would have been in Indiana or western Ohio (since it was before they got to Columbus). The only big parks I can think of in IN and Western OH would be HW and KI, and considering HW doesn't have a big steel coaster like was featured in the episode... hmm, which park would that represent in the story then? Well, it appears that my estimate of what park that might represent was a little off. I was on NBC's website and they have an interactive map where you can trace the characters' progress across the Monroe Republic (http://www.nbc.com/revolution/exclusives/interactive-map/). So I was clicking around to find the amusement park episode, and it was set in Lowell, Indiana, in the NW portion of the state. No park there... And yes, I know it's fictional, but it's nice to try to draw parallels with real life.

  8. And sorry everyone for the delay. Work has been extremely hectic. Does anyone like this version of the T-shirt I just designed? Or should I go to a more clean look?

  9. Walt over at Pointbuzz.com is reporting that Gatekeeper had its first successful test run this afternoon. When it comes to things regarding Cedar Point Walt is a pretty safe bet.

  10. Exactly! Wow...I'm feelin a bit better, minus being able to have a good thought. Back to the original post, I am thankful for this team working hard while we wait....I know it's a pain for us to wait, but they make sure we're safe!

  13. I got Q to Q when I went to Dollywood on Wednesday (it was PACKED!). It is well worth the $20 plus tax; I was able to ride all the roller coasters multiple times! I also highly recommend it. If you go on a crowded day, go for it. You'll be glad you did!

  19. If that valley is nearly 100ft deep, then a giga coaster with a 400ft drop would be feasible. Not saying that thats probable by any means, just saying its possible, and would be pretty outstanding in my opinion. Not to try to sound like one of those crazy giga coaster enthusiasts or anything either.

  20. Wouldn't be the first station at the park to be reused.

  21. Sent to me by Kings Island's Don Helbig. SANDUSKY, OHIO – Eric Lapp (right) and Jeff Durbin (left) from Cedar Point’s maintenance division get their first look at a train on the track of the new Gatekeeper roller coaster Friday at the 364-acre amusement park. Riders on Gatekeeper will fly through a wing-coaster record 4,164 feet of track along Lake Erie and across the park’s redesigned main entrance. The ride will also set world records for the longest drop (165 feet), tallest inversion (170 feet), the most inversions (six) and fastest speed (67 miles per hour) of any wing coaster. Cedar Point and Gatekeeper open to the general public for the 2013 season May 11. Courtesy / Cedar Point Trains for Gatekeeper after they were placed on the transfer track of the ride yesterday to post on KIC.

  24. Here is another video of the Americana/Fantasy Farm areas. The video was filmed by a guy called Adam the Woo. He has a YouTube channel and he's got quite a few videos of abandoned places including amusement parks. I watched a few yesterday, very interesting!
