If anyone would like to continue to beat the dead horse of asking why after its been explained many times, please send me a PM and not continue to flood this thread of off topic discussion. Also if any further posts trying to trick up the code, or purposely modifying text so it won't be caught will be awarded with vacation time. It's about a half a hour worth of programming time, it's not done, and it's not perfect. What it's is though is very annoying to myself and other users.15 points

This was posted on the "Defunct Nostalgic Amusement Parks" Facebook page. Those of you who grew up in northeastern Ohio may remember this place, which apparently closed in 1984.10 points

I crack up at this photo all of the time. I'm in the center. My dad and brother on the sides. The photo was taken in 2009 I think. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk10 points

Also "back in the day" if someone had seen any child crossing said lines, they would not have hesitated to grab them by the back of the shirt and pull them back. Most likely with a stern talking to. Long gone are the days of community child rearing.9 points

The Idora Wilcat had a great 50-plus year run. It was an outstanding wooden coaster.9 points

I feel like I was involved in taking this thread off topic and at least partially responsible for the several posts of people trying to break the filters. For that, I apologize. To help bring this thread back on topic, I noticed when looking on the webcams that Banshee's track color works really well with Invertigo and The Bat's new color schemes. I wonder if management knew anything about Banshee when the decision to repaint Invertigo was made. Whether intentional or lucky accident, each of the coasters in Action Zone look great and they're all really going to pop on the skyline. I can't wait to see them all together from the midway.7 points

^^I'm ready to move on too. From day one we all should have just moved on. I just want to make sure everyone understands, everything is solved, and everything is A OK before we move on. Like I said we still have a slightly damaged relationship, lets work on mending it, which means WE as a whole group. No more arguing and bickering over trademarks, no more sneaking into the park, no more touching things we're not supposed to touch, no more leaving and walking around where we were told to stay, etc. It's quite simple. Elegant WindSeeker in chilly October 10/30/11 by KIC-Vortex_BFF, on Flickr WindSeeker on Closing Day, October 30, 2011. This is one of the last pics I took of it before it received the additional bracing (or whatever it's called) in 2012. Most Recent Edit: Dane fixed it! Yay! Dane: I'll fix WindSeeker when I get home this evening.6 points

Glad to see someone else grew up in the days when any adult in the neighborhood could correct you, and the last thing you wanted to do was tell your parents because you got it worse.6 points

I like to hope I'll be able to ride coasters at that age. I'm not totally sure The Beast will make it to 100, purely because the odds are not in its favor. Currently, there are three operating coasters in the WORLD that are 100 years old or more, and only one in this country. With that said, Beast has a solid reputation and is loved by millions, so it stands to reason that unless something catastrophic happens, the park will do whatever is necessary to maintain it. But in the words of the 1980s rock band Asia, only time will tell.6 points

Wait, there are filters that can automatically replace text? This is a test. If the test passes, all will be fine. If it fails, I will edit this post. Kings Island. Edit: Yes, there is code in place to replace, at least, an all lower-case "Kings Island" to the properly capitalized name. Very cool.5 points

To do this, use the quote feature as normal to quote into a new post. However, instead of posting that new post, copy and paste the quote into your previous post. This works on both mobile and desktop browsers, with both rich text editing and BB Code editing. It probably doesn't work with Tapatalk, though.5 points

En Montreal, ils parlent francais, oui bein sur! Mais, a La Ronde, je ne sais pas que vous puissiez le savoir de francais. In Montreal, they speak french, yes of course! But, at La Ronde, I don't know that you need the knowledge of French.4 points

I'm taking it as this is an ACE exclusive? Or can I, not an ACE member, volunteer? I guess I'll just have to E-mail them to find out. I would definitely do this, it is an amazing way to help out a park that I am very interested in. Plus, free admission to event=score4 points

Yep that was My Mom. This is when we first rode Flight of Fear back in 1996, then known of course by the name Outer Limits Flight of Fear.4 points

I'm sorry guys, but can we please move on. I'm getting tired of clicking on this thread to see updates on Banshee and we are talking about capitalization.4 points

And you'll notice, Racer and Scrambler are not trademarked ride names. Bat, when not preceded by "the", can describe an animal or a piece of baseball equipment. Monsters can live under your bed. And if I wanted to be an insufferable teenager, I could describe something that was fun as being "beast". So even where it misses, it actually doesn't.4 points

That is an awesome park. Wish I could have visited it before it closed. I was lucky enough to go to Americana before it closed. Love the memories. Thanks4 points

This trip is from August 27th 2010. Here is the Potato Works building. He wanted to go ride Diamondback not eat! Brother Timothy, and mom in line for Diamondback Sister Lydia and mom in front of Diamondback sign. They went and got back in line after this picture. My brother was so funny back then, he still is today! Father and son after riding Diamondback! Again! On Surf Dog! Got this picture after we rode Surf Dog, Tradition. Blue Ice Cream After getting off The Beast! That was when it was a little rough back then. At the end of the day. Leaving is the worst part of the trip. As always we said it was the best trip to Kings Island till we go again the next time! Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Have a good day!4 points

^ You're not the only one. Banshee follows its theme very artistically. You can imagine the ghost of a woman drifting through the first drop and dive loop.4 points

Unfortunately, this is directly on topic. The possible infringement is here..it gets addressed HERE. A separate topic would just be ignored. Evidence KIC is trying to address the situation needs to be here. escalator used to be Escalator. thermos used to be Thermos. aspirin used to be Aspirin. Cedar Fair rightly wants to be sure that Six Flags or the Kochs can't open a ride called Magnum just as now ANY park can open a Big Dipper, Cyclone or Comet. It's called genericization. It is a mark of this site's prestige and position in the Kings Island forums market that we could influence that--for good or ill. And complaining about that is off topic. It is not on the table for change or to be ignored. It is this board's policy that Cedar Fair's intellectual property, including trademarks and photographs and that of others (sponsors particularly) not produced by the poster will be acknowledged and protected.4 points
