  1. Few people walked around the brake run and the car parked by On Location, left the area, now some more transfer table movement.. I feel like a total creeper Actually more like:

  2. Only those with current memberships to the approved coaster clubs are allowed to attend. So basically.....no guest unless they have a current membership. Everyone will have had to have RSVP'd and present a valid membership card at check-in for access into the park on media day. No exceptions will be made for those without a valid membership card.

  3. I think it is a really nice touch that they are using decorative black iron fencing, reminiscent of a graveyard, as opposed to the traditional chain linked fencing for the bottom of the loops. Detail considerations like this are fantastic! And it is appreciated since chain link fencing is less expensive.

  4. RSVP for media day ended so we deleted it to avoid confusion.

  7. Many Intamins have trim brakes..and the ones without actually wish they did too..see Millie for example. This trim really just prevents an overspeed that's all it's for. Ride uses the safety system to judge the speed, determines if it needs to trim the speed so it doesn't go through the course quicker to cause issues or speed through a block. If it's slower, you don't get trimmed. Why are y'all so freakied out over something to remove a chance of overspeed..see Maverick, Montu, Magnum, Beast, etc.. Sigh..enjoy the ride, the park is spending 30mil plus on us to have fun..

  8. They need those iron fences instead of hand rails in the queue so people can't climb on them. Children are the worst! They climb, swing, flip, balance beam, etc up and down those rails and the parents do absolutely NOTHING to keep them from doing it. Make them extra pointy too!

  9. On the construction site, there continued to be more and more footers. They kept on coming, and the speculation continued. (Photos taken by me) Just 37 days left until Banshee Media Day and Scream for A Kid Again, and 38 more days until Opening Day 2014!

  21. That is so odd to see the site like that again

  22. I'm watching the cam from DavidW's captures which are usually one minute apart, the whole cycle isn't a minute I would have caught it by now. Looked to be they were moving the train back and forth on the transfer table, maybe even advancing to the station or moving it from the transfer table to the brake right before it. Can't verify but that's the only area of movement I could see

  23. Mr. Putz once worked for, I believe, the Gates organization. That splains a lot.

  24. I believe I saw a train transferring out of the storage shed to the station! It's a bit hard to see though and it was for only one refresh of the cam.

  25. Agreed, the weather here in Indy is amazing! Hopefully it will stay like this for awhile. I'm tired of shoveling snow.

  26. I don't use this site that often so if people don't normally ask questions like this here, I apologize. Anyway, I am going to be driving to Kings Island for my first time on media day. I'm a new driver (just got my license in October) and I'm not sure I'm ready to make a highway drive through Dayton to KI. Does anybody have any tips in terms of shortcuts that don't use the highways? Also, which motels are an easy drive to the park? Sorry, this is my first time doing a media day like this. I'm really excited, though! I love Skyflyer's new paint job, wonder if they'll do any placemaking around the Skyflyer/Banshee/Bat area other than the retheme.

  28. I hope not. Locker areas aren't pretty. They should tucked along the wall or off the the side.

  29. So important it requires an underline I think they will have some theming, keyword, some. However I don't expect anything extra special.

  31. Is anyone else hoping the queue gets really close to those gates, right up close to the track?
    3 points
  32. You will know testing is close, when something in this picture disappears.

  33. There will be a brake following the zero g roll. It will automatically adjust based on the speed of the train, weather, temp, etc. Essentially, the train will go the same speed no matter what after the brake run. It's not necessarily a trim brake per se.

Its a little hard to see, but I think you will see it clear enough to understand why it is funny.

  41. They have non-scary mazes. There's a hay bale maze and a nursery rhyme themed maze over in Soak City for your enjoyment! Just givin' you a hard time! Oh, that's ok. Kings Island also has roller coasters, and I like roller coasters. So I can ride those.

But honestly if I could choose..Great Lakes..support the local stuff guys! Besides could you imagine going through Haunt or the Oktoberfest-ish area with an Octoberfest drink..The seasonals could be fantastic
